   What are some creative ways to reuse empty pill bottles?
   
   I like to reuse as much as I can to keep from throwing it away.  I have some empty pill bottles and need some ways to reuse them.  Any ideas?

   They make good storage containers for buttons, beads, paper clips, screws, bolts. You can create nice labels and a recycled rack from cardboard to keep them organized. Just a quick thought.

   I was going to do this, but my husband (a scientist) suggested that I shouldn't reuse anything which had contained chemicals that might not be good to ingest--he was thinking especially about pill bottles that contained prescription drugs.  Just something to think about--he said the same about film canisters we used to use for kids craft projects.  You can recycle many of these.

   You can use them as containers for lotions and creams when you travel instead of buying those little plastic containers from the store.

   Depending on the shape of the bottle, I like to use colored glass beads and fill the bottles with them and either use them as candle holders or book ends. Since I read LOTS of books, I like to decorate my shelves.
