What is your favorite medium for art projects?
I love working with all types of paper.
So hard to choose! I love fine-tip and medium-tip markers, but I also love colored pencils. And fabric scraps and all kinds of ribbons and string!
Paint, paint, and more paint - acrylics, oil, latex, metallic, spray paint, finger paint, poster paint. It is inexpensive and goes on everything!
After some consideration, I realized it must be the humble graphite pencil, sitting at the top of my list. I must also confess to being up for trying anything and everything, given the chance.
I used a lot of coloring materials such as colored pens and pencils, pastels, acrylic and oil paints, different types of special colored papers and canvas.
I love working with Crayola crayons and manila drawing paper. I take photos of the art with my webcam, then go crazy in digital editing software, and also use a pen tablet. I'm experimenting with watercolors and pastels but am still learning the ropes.
I like using different types of paper, be it typical paper, cardboard paper, transparent paper sheet, etc. I like using glitter pens, paint-colors (acrylic and poster), sketchpens, coloring pencils, crayons, decorative beads and other embellishments for decorating my paintings and pictures. Recently, I have done glass painting on glass items and found the paint-colors concerned with glass painting uniquely interesting.
Tough question because Art is so diverse. I have categorised the activities for ease of answering:
Sketchig: HB pencil
Line drawings: Rotring disposable pens - 0.3 and 0.4 mm
Painting: Acriylic paints on canvas or paper
Sculpture: Plasticine models followed by fibre glass moulds and casts.
I don't like oil paints because they take too long to dry and give an odour for months on end. But when restoring a damaged oil painting, one has no choice.
