Will it look like a "decent" crochet blanket if I sew two triangle crochet shawls?
It should work, if the shawls are the exact same size. You can try laying them down together first and see what they look like together.
Why not? I used to make baby blankets that were nothing more than a granny square that just kept getting bigger and bigger. It should work well.
I love granny squares!!! However a friend told me granny squares have " holes" in them and not ideal for baby blanket . I wanted to crochet a solid granny square baby blanket but am confused now.
You know, your friend has a good point. I had not thought of that. I guess I will make the square bigger so it is big enough for a lap robe for an adult. Funny the little things one doesn't think of!
