Crochet or Knitting - What is your preference and why?
I prefer crocheting- I find knitting more tedious, though I do love the effects you can create with knitting. Fortunately, over the last 15 years or so, crocheting techniques and the effects/textures one can create have really developed so you can really make some more dramatic pieces nowadays. (I like to make pieces of clothing, though I do other things, also.)
Thanks for sharing Alise-Evon - I love crocheting over knitting-love the fact that the needle is not part of your stitch if that makes sense -I started about a month ago - making clothing is my goal-I've made a few scarves and headbands
I'm equally lame at both. I've crocheted scarves and granny squares for afghans, and knitted scarves and throws. I've never really graduated from square things in either method, and probably never will!
awww lisavollrath-i've watched a few videos on you tube and found some great sites with free patterns to practice - thanks for stopping by
I prefer to crochet than knit. I made some crochet hats and some mobile phone cases for personal use and I just like crocheting over knitting. My colleague showed me how to knit which is quite interesting but I still prefer to crochet things. I would love to learn how to crochet a hand bag. I think crochet hand bags are nice.
I like knitting but find that crocheting is much quicker and you need only hold one needle!

Which is the easier craft? Knitting or crochet?I have recently learned to do both, but find crochet to be more forgiving and quicker. Because I haven't yet learned to read patterns correctly, I have done several projects "freestyle," so continue to favor crochet. What are your thoughts?

I'm considering learning how to knit, but I'm wondering how it compares to crochet - easier or harder? quicker or slower?I've been crocheting on and off for years and I'm not great but I can follow a pattern - I've done some baby clothes, lots of scarves, many throws and blankets. When...

What type of craft do you like to do? (knitting, crocheting, painting, etc)I love to experiment. I do quite a bit of painting, but I also really enjoy crocheting, and making jewelry and polymer clay.

How do I start to do a hub on knitting and crocheting. Do I need pictures and sign with adsense?
