   Probably not, right away. I'd make sure it was properly invested first, so that I could live off of it for a long time. I really enjoy my job, personally. However, if I started to have a real bad during the interim...well then...

   One million dollars before taxes: no, because I know not only would I have to worry about paying the taxes on it but any significant spending would also lead me to a higher standard of living which = higher cost of living and so I would need to keep a job to maintain the status quo.
   
   One million dollars after taxes: probably though it'd still be irresponsible and I'd end up going back to work eventually but I wouldn't have to worry about taxes in the equation.

   Yes, i would quit my job. I would use the money to pay off my car, buy a lot of land, build a nice house and then i get a job i enjoy rather than a job that i hate just for the money, because i would not have to worry about all the bills.

   I don't know enough about US economics to know if a million dollars is enough to retire on.  In the UK, if I came up with a million quid on the lottery it would be enough to retire early.
   Also, I think that if I have enough to retire, I have a moral obligation to do so, to release my job for someone else to have.

   No, a million dollars is definately not what it used to be, especially after you pay out all the taxes from your win. I would keep my job, payoff all my bills, and put the rest in interest bearing accounts, and only live off the interest, and my regular pay check. If  I dont have to pay a mortgage, carnote, or major bills, I would be able to live comfortably and continue to save overtime so when I get ready to retire I will have a nice little nest egg, and be able to pay for my girls college.

    Not right away.   I would wait to see how much the IRS will take from me.  It also depends on how much I really love my job.  For the job I am doing right now, I would not, simply because I did quit the job I was starting not to like in 2010.   It was working in retail, and now I am selling products I love, and providing services that I think people should have.

    my reason being, i'd have plenty of money alredy, i may as well give my job to some one that doesn't have money, no point in me being greedy is there

    I think i would quit my job which is the means of my livelihood(even though i earn a handsome salary) to pursue my passion which is writing and reading,making a library at home with a large collection,open an old age home alongwith a home for stray dogs etc.....the list is endless.If i pursue all these,i will have no time for a regular job!!!

    Yes! I would quit my job and do as much volunteer work as I could. I hope to win the lottery one day just so I can spend the rest of my life giving most of it away to those in need. That is pure food for the soul.

    never i will continue with my job because million dollar is just a prize i won. I will carry on my job to earn genuine incomes. But in case if i may have a talent to do a business and if i have relevant experience then might be i left job. Otherwise i will keep continue my job.

    I certainly wouldn't work for anyone else again, that's for sure.
    
    First I would set myself up with a nice house and a few small businesses for creating residual income.
    
    I would take the extra free time I have to learn the programming languages needed to creat Iphone Applications and I would get to work putting my ideas out there for the masses to download.
    
    Just charging one dollar per download for a really entertaining and addictive puzzle game would generate more income and I would slowly build my financial empire on creativity.
    
    I would devote myself to my writing and art projects. Charity wouldn't come in the form of money, but in the form of community service. IE, mentoring, devoting my time to working with kids like I wanted to do when I was in high school, etc.

    Yes i would defiantly for the time being quit my job and focus on straightening up my life. I would then settle and figure out where I would want to live for the rest of my life and go back to a great school. Then I would succeed in that job and go find a successful job in that career and work the rest of my life because money does go fast.
