Greed effects us today because of pure selfishness. When we think only about ourselves and not others, there is a tremendous chain reaction. Our selfish actions can cause others to see how we carry ourselves. Greed only originates when we have enough and plenty but still want more and more. Material things can be a source of greed especially when we compile a desire for things and more things. Greed and selfishness can be avoided if we show love and concern for others.
