Hi,
Hope you don't mind me asking a question?
How do you like being an Avon rep? I love the Avon cosmetics etc., and have often thought about becoming a rep.
Hi Seeker7,that would be a wonderful opportunity to make legitimate additional money. The key word is legitimate or genuine money, so why not. I have seen their website and there is no doubt about their genuineness and long standing reputation. It looks a fine opportunity, so long us doing that makes provision for your other commitments.
If you have a working TEAM and not some that are out for themselves it is great. If you have a car and can go door to door then you will do good. You must remember that the cost of the brochures come out of your pocket as well as any samples, bags, and other sales related stuff. The first three campaigns you get almost all the profits but then it drops drasticaly after that. Your e-rep fee will be waived for those first three months and then charged to your account after that. Just giving you a heads up and so that you know what to expect if you do decide to become a rep.
I need to do all my sales on-line because I do not have a car but it is hard to do so because there is still this stigma of customers wanting to meet the Avon Rep in-person. I thought that this would work out for me, but it is not.
It is a successful operation in Malaysia with a man at the helm. They have grown big in this country. Its is an interesting job.....
direct selling.... going more person to person than door to door.
Make a list of 100 people. Go to each of them with your catalogues. Introduce your beginning in Avon. Get back within 24-30 hours and collect the catalogue and orders. Pass the catalogues to a second group and repeat the process until all 100 have been done with. Work within a territory and maximise time with as many individuals. Repeat the cycle with all whom you met in the first cycle. Watch the volume grow. Every eliminated person from the first, second and third cycle, must be filled in with new names. That will leave you with 100 or more suspects who become prospects and convert into customers. Maintain that suspect /prospect base and you get your customers base averaging out every month.
every person you meet has a sister or sister in law and continue building the sales volumes. Best wishes to you.

What things should you avoid saying when you break up with someone? All of us would have had our share of relationships and their problems. What are the things you would avoid saying when you have no choice but to break up with someone and why?
