Does having good quality articles automatically boost the page rank of new hubs?
If I have some hubs that are popular with search engines, does that strengthen the page rank of the other pages on my username's subdomain e.g. user.hubpages.com. Might this be the case, as your hubs all link to your user page which would in turn strengthen one another?
Theoretically, yes. Since they moved each user to new subdomains, the new hubs don't benefit from the hubpages authority too much, being on a subdomain and basically a new site, but practically, all your hubs are as secondary pages on a website and each page sends pagerank/link juice to all the pages linked, and since your profile/subdomain page is linked from all pages, this means your stronger hubs will increase your user subdomain and that will help your newer hubs
It all depends. Google may individually rank your hubs highly but not pass on any of the juice to your subdomain. If your subdomain is ranked highly then your new hubs will get a natural lift.
