    Fan mail denied

Have you ever had someone deny your fan mail when you wrote a nice comment about their Hubs and their character?  I just had one and I was surprised that some people reject others who are trying to make an effort on HubPages. I don't understand why some people are not friendly on HubPages. Does anyone have any answers?

I don't see why they would do that if your comments are nice. The only thing I could think of is they might have accidentally clicked the deny button.

I haven't experienced such things so far. The worst I have encountered is commenting on a hub and never getting a reply. But those hubbers always accept the comments I've made anyway.

I have never been denied.  So I have no idea.

May be you asked them for following you back?
If not, then you should probably forget about them. There are far more nicer people than those, just have a great experience here.

If you think they are accusing you or belittling you, then there is always an option to report the activity, don't worry and chill!

    Welcome to HubPages DOT com!

I haven't experienced this yet, but, how about you try to send him/her a new fan mail, maybe he denied it accidentally.

Hmm. I'm thinking it was a glitch. The other day I got notice through my email that I'd received fan mail, but when I went to retrieve it, nothing was there. Hope it wasn't denied! Why would anyone deny fan mail? Perhaps the problem has to do with some of the formatting changes that the Hub has recently implemented. Anyway, if I were you, I'd send it again. The response was probably an error of some sort.

I'd give them the benefit of the doubt and say it was accidental.

I've never heard of this before. Personally I think that is extremely rude and arrogant of someone to reject your fan mail. If they don't want contact with other people then I think they are on the wrong site. Hub Pages is mainly about writing, but it is also about community and supporting. To reject fan mail is to go against the spirit of what Hub Pages is all about. Having said all this, this person is obviously not worth your trouble. I would move on to other hubbers who will be delighted to get fan mail from you.

I don't think I've ever had that problem. But lately hubpages won't let me leave fan mail, so I guess it doesn't matter at the moment. lol

Like The Dirt Farmer said,  I have been told before that someone left me fan mail  only to find that  the person did not-I am guessing there is a glitch with this. I hope that this fan mail of mine I cannot find shows up. Usually this doesn't happen. But as for anyone  intending to deny fan mail when you left a nice comment, I have never heard of it.
