   Does anyone make any money on HubPages? I have written 63 hubs. 56 have been featured, so far I have made less than $10.00.

      I have written 35 hubs till now ,  but only 1 hub is working very well. I am getting around 10 USD every month.

   I have around the same number of featured hubs and have been here almost 3 months..I am probably a month away from a payout...I will say that the Ebay capsules have been very helpful! Still no hub of the day yet though....

   Wow. Not to be rude or anything but thats kinda bad if your soul intention is to make money on here...I mean I've published 17 hubs so far and about 5 are actually getting a good amount of traffic to them, meaning views. So far I've generated about 60 bucks in my google account.
   
   I would recommend taking a look at the google toolbar and googling your hubs, like the subject there on. If yours pops up on the first page then I'd say give it time, but if you dont see it after like the 3rd page then its something you can fix right now.
   
   Links, its all in the links that link your hub to other sites. The more links you have the higher your hub will rank on the google search, meaning you'll be on the first page. If you cant seem to get a decent amount of links to your hub then another fix would be on the quality. Quality meaning what you write and how many times you use the keywords that the searcher searched for. If you use the keywords that the searcher searched for all throughout your hub then google will be like heck this hubs gotta of what this guy looking for and rank you on the first page.
   
   Thats a basic understanding of how google works. If you want more then I'd take a look at my hubs on writing good hubs that should rank numero uno on google.

      Eddy lol That was definitely my soul intention when I started here 10 years ago was to make money. And I accomplished that. There is nothing wrong with being financially motivated. In all honesty, if it was just a place to write stuff for free, I probably would have never written anything on here. There are months that I've made close to $2,000 with just 28 articles. Yes, my knowledge is worth a few dollars ok?

   Unfortunately, this is not a get rich site. There are a FEW success stories, but only a few. I had to write over 150 hubs before reaching payout.

   I answered a similar question this is my answer to yours also. I earn, the enrichment of being able to express my interest. Honestly, a few years ago, I tried the whole affilliated venue. It was consuming so much of my time keeping up with my hubs and accounts, it really is not worth it. If you have a seperated site, that you are selling products, this is a good way to optimized your site. I used to do SEO tech for businesses, one thing we did for our clients was to make articles, post videos,and write fake reviews. The more information you have, about one particular thing, on seperate sites, can lead to first page optimaztion. Yeah, its not so much in the embeded hmtl. It has to do with popularity of one phrase. Youtube, is a great tool for this, so if you plan on selling anything online, it would be a great start. Pay per clicks, well there is, really no money in it, unless you have 1000's of hours to invest in hubs and other freelance writing sites. One site is not going to cut it, just for 1 cent per click, even 1 dollar. I don't want to rain on anyone's parade, I'm just speaking from experience. This, is a good optimaztion tool, just like youtube. That's all. Its just for fun, for me. I'm just writing about,, my relationship with my boyfriend Enrico Mattedi. He has been optimized..lol

   You have only been on this site a few months and that other poster, Eddy, has been here more than 3 years. There is no way to compare his few hubs to yours.
   I did not start making money until I had been posting for 4 months (and then payment is delayed a month) but I have consistently earned since then. It is not a lot, but it pays a few bills.
   I looked at your profile page and wanted to make a comment about your subject matter. My hubs with the worst performance have been about Taoism and Zen.(I have been here less than a year but have already deleted some recipes and other things that were getting no views.) If you want to write on Confucianism or the Tao, great. The hubs that will probably earn, though, are more commercial (like the reviews of baby toys). You will notice this after several months when most of your page views come from Google.
   Ten bucks is okay for two months. Just keep on writing.

   I have made almost $2.00 with 16 hubs.  I applied for the apprenticeship program and from what I hear you can make $50 a month for six months-provided you do what is required to do during the program.

      Thank you kindly all of you for taking the time to write. I direct most of my hubs to my website and draw traffic to my site, Other than this advantage, I see little money for the effort. However, it does give me hits on my website from the articles

    i had stuck to HP for 3 years. I am currently earning around USD 15 per month. previously, i could only earn USD 3 per month. What makes the difference? The more hubs you publish and featured, the more you participate in HP forums, hub hopping and answering questions. All these helps.

    Yes, people do make money. However, they make up a tiny minority of the 100,000+ published users. I found this hub [ http://alocsin.hubpages.com/hub/The-Hig … t-1-Basics ] that does a quick profile of ten top earners on HubPages (it was published last year).
    
    One important thing to remember is that you are essentially a publisher on HubPages, not a writer. In a traditional publisher - writer arrangement, the writer writes an article, the publisher pays him, and then the publisher bears the responsibility for publicizing, monetizing, and distributing the piece.
    
    Here, you do all that. You research the topic and decide if it's popular enough to write about. You write the article and edit it to appeal to both readers and search engines. Then, you publicize it through social media and link-building tactics, to help bring traffic and raise your hubs' presence in Google.
    
    Even if you do all those things right, then you still stand a good chance at losing out. That's just the reality of publishing. Most things are flops, but if you publish enough, you'll find some hits to outweigh the flops.
    
    So if you want to earn big, a) keep writing (it takes time, skill, and luck), b) do your research and promotion, and c) don't be disappointed with failure. Many of your hubs will disappoint, and you simply need to persist until you hit a few of those breakthrough successes.

    I would also say that HubPages is not a place just for making big money. The main focus is  on writing and if your writings do well then your money may increase. But I think you can earn more money with your own websites/blogs through affiliate marketing or selling your own products. HubPages may help to make yourself known to others.

    We do make money on hubpages, but it takes some time. There are a few that were able to make consistent payout within a short time but they were able to find niche topics with really rich keywords. I am still learning SEO and improving my writing. I have found that my hubs started out slow but after about 6 months they kind of snowballed and now make consistent money.
    
    So don't be discouraged. I think you are on to a great start. Just continue to right unique content and maybe focus on commercial type writings (i.e. product reviews, travel reviews, resume writing, business, and management leadership) as these seem to have a higher $ per click value.

    Its like working 'piece work'.   The payments are low.  Unless you can figure out how to make a Hubpage that will be accepted and featured, I am only guessing, you make a lot more.   I've only been writing for a week or so, I haven't received any payment.  Yet.  But they may surprise me at any time.  So, I'm waiting and watching, hope to get my first payment soon.

    There could a number of factors contributing to this. Some thoughts follow... Are you telling the story, or letting the story tell itself? Are longer pieces broken up into chunks ? Do you interact by reading and commenting on other people's work? And finally, write from the heart. Sometimes when I get out of my own head I have an easier time of it. Hope this helps.

    I do! Some months are better than others but I always make a payout. I’ve been here over ten years. It’s okay to be here to make money and the best way to do that is to create content that helps others in an area you’re really experienced in.

    I have seen it several times now, some old threads are being brought back to life. This thread will be celebrating its eighth birthday soon. Well, well with good content and the right amount of traffic you will definitely make a payout every month. In my case, I have been lucky to make a payout every month. That was my dream when I joined Hubpages.
