From which sites can we upload videos?

Are we allowed to upload videos from vimeo.com?

Patricia, youtbe and Vimeo I believe. I asked a question like this earlier this year. And you can also upload your own, if you have a camcorder.

Kristen is correct in that you can upload videos from both Vimeo and YouTube, however uploading your own videos is yesterday's news.  More accurately last week's news.

Here is what HP's Christy Kirwan had to say in last week's newsletter about uploading your own videos:

    "Converting Your Video Hubs

Many of you may remember our recent announcement about the imminent retirement of HubPages hosted Video Hubs. Today I'm pleased to bring you some further details. For those of you with Video Hubs, you can now convert them into normal Hubs by following these steps:

Just open a Video Hub in the HubTool and click on the "convert to normal Hub" button. This will change the URL of your Hub from /video/ to /hub/ and allow you to remove a HubPages-hosted Video from your Hub. Don't worry, your traffic will be redirected to the new URL.

Once you convert your Hub, you will have the ability to download your Video as an mp4 file and remove it from your Hub, just like with other Capsules. The download and remove buttons will be visible on your Hub only while viewing it in the HubTool.

You can also download your Video before converting your Hub by visiting My Account > Videos > Your Videos. This is the best option if you plan to delete your Video Hubs completely rather than convert them to normal Hubs."

So you see, HP is no longer going to host Hubber's videos, and those already on HP will have to be removed.

Last week's newsletter also suggests if you want to continue to use your own videos that you will first need to upload them to YouTube --  and more information on that is given in the newsletter.  So be sure to check the newsletter.  It usually arrives in your email box on Wednesdays.  This particular newsletter is dated July 15.

Hope this is helpful to you Patricia.

Thank you, CE. I had forgotten that HP no longer sponsors hubber videos, not that I had any. Should I ever evolve to doing videos, I will certainly upload them to YouTube or Vimeo. P.S. I know the Learning Center answers these types of questions.

Just to be clear: you don't actually upload videos from elsewhere. You embed them, or post them. They still live on that other site, and not on HubPages.
