   Not worth a new thread, so posting it here.
   
   Paradigmsearch gets to live...
   
   Been having ~100 degree heat here and no A/C of any sort. More of same to come.
   
   Waiting list before A/C guy shows up with the freon.
   
   Swamp cooler totally broken and a rusting hulk.
   
   Paradigmsearch doomed...
   
   Not!
   
   Punched hole through front of rusting, falling-apart swamp cooler. Nothing to lose; thing was already toast and needs to be replaced. I'm soon to be on a waiting list for that as well.
   
   Fished around and found hose leading to top of swamp cooler. This is the hose that trickles the water down over the filters.Yanked the hose out through the hole.
   
   Introduced it to the garden hose with Mr. Duct Tape and a couple hose clamps.
   
   Turned water on low pressure. Water happily soaking the filters.
   
   Back inside the house. Put fan in front of swamp cooler. Turned it on full blast, sucking the air right through the soaked filters.
   
   Nice cool air...
   
   Paradigmsearch gets to live.
   
   
   And fix it...
   
   My new motto...

            How to keep cool in....when you have no air conditioning. etc. etc. There's more than one hub in this, but pics would help a lot!

   And btw, I've written 4, 500 word articles today, wrote a hub and have painted a fish. Unfortunately, before I published the hub I didn't check to see whether I'd saved the last couple of paragraphs.( you know when you keep getting the *save draft* message?) Anyway, published and hadn't saved- Passed QAP though, so will finish tomorrow.
