Well, I wrote a lot rough draft hubs. I always have so many ideas but I have a hard time sticking on them long enough to actually finish writing them. I'll publish about 2 - 3 hubs a month but I'll add 10 in the works. Does anyone else do that? Also, I took a risky step in November. I decided to start my first website, http://www.lolsnake.com. I came reading from other Hubbers that they get to keep all their ad revenue from their blogging sites so that thought stuck in my mind. I went with paid hosting and I have no ads on there yet so really it's actually costing me money right now!
I got up, fixed and ate breakfast and have updated a snoozing hub. I plan to evaluate some other snoozers to see if they are ready to save. I need to finish promoting some Zazzle products for others in a cross promotion group, answer a customer inquiry, and write a couple of blog posts.
Somewhere in the midst of this I need to figure out what we will eat for lunch and get it fixed.
If that doesn't keep me busy enough, I need to exercise by pulling out some more bull thistle plants before they take over.
For the first time in over a decade (I think), I gave a dollar to a panhandler. Having been there (and am still there), I know how it is. The bad news is that it will only be 1 or 2 dollars a month.
Not the most exciting day planned for me... BUT, I will be looking in my new Cooking Light cookbook for a healthy, yummy dinner for the fam. Then, I will be going to the grocery store. I will squeeze in a quick trip to the gym. I'll make dinner. And finally, I'll finish the hub I started in the middle of the stinkin' night last night.
If you say on this thread that you are going to do something, and then you don't do it; you have to come back here and fess up to your unmitigated failure to perform as promised.
Example: I said I was going to update 11 hubs. I've decided to hold off until I see how google digests my previous updates.
Keep working on it, man. I have total faith in you. And since I'm married, you'll have to take the HJ. I can't really offer more than that in good conscience.
Don't eat hot pockets- they're to blame. Today, I have taken my dog for a very, very long walk and I plan to complete 3,000 words (for a client) before I eat my dinner this evening.
I kinda knew that would be the case:) But nice cold beer is something to aim for in the next 18 months. In addition to crawling, walking, sleeping through and saying mama, of course.
Oh boy, I put the bagged salad in a bowl, and poured on the pre-made Italian dressing. So I think I made it, ya pretty sure. Oh yes I definitely made it because I added sliced avacado ( which I sliced).
yes, got my laundry indoors surprisingly, very few bugs awesome, fall is definitely on it's way. Laundry smells just, 'sigh', wonderful but got a tad chilly for tanning n lounging outside, but tomorrow is a new day! (new day) well, got called to work forgot twas Monday
I stayed up till 3AM editing a report for a client, believing my "hard" deadline was this morning. Just as I was heading out the door to attend a meeting with same client on a different project, I received an email. "Oh, btw, here are some more edits that just came in from a reviewer. Can you incorporate them?" If someone's gonna blow a deadline, I love it when it's not moi. Think there may be a nap in my near future. zzzzzzzzzzz.
Productive: managed to get my nephew's school schedule changed today so he was not short a class and leaving school each day on an early dismissal! (1:00 instead of 3:00 pm)
I bought paint (on sale) for home improvements, brushes too. Got a nice purple for my garden bench. The rest is dark stain for garden shed and new siding, maybe deck and front steps if weather cooperates. Oh, and some white primer for patch up (exterior).
I just spent the evening teaching my university course on Serial Killers as Heroes in Popular Culture. Earlier, I sopped up a messy floor after my washing machine hose broke. Oh yeah - I made tuna salad. Guess I should put that in the thread about eating.
Finally put the last of the stuff away that had been left over (and yet to be put away) from my little trip away for my daughter's wedding. Today was productive in a less-than-routine way. The four days before today were just plain not productive - but really nice! Life returns to "same old" tomorrow.
The only thing I'm concerned about is that a couple of hubs are going to put on idle which are seasonal hubs and don't necessarily need updating. They just haven't yet approached the season in which they will receive traffic.
I tweaked a few snoozers, and left a few unindexed (they deserve to be unindexed). I don't want to update hubs that are not ultimately going to add value, so I may unpublish the remaining snoozers, and even a few of the ones that I tweaked. My goal is to support what the site is doing here.
BTW - I agree with your advice to do some minor edits to seasonal hubs (I hope I can remember to do that when the time comes!). That will put them back into the system, and Google will pick them up again.
As of today not much, chilling a bit. Yesterday I updated 3 hubs which needed to be updated because of Zzzz, but also ended up updating a few more. Today, I'm going to start new hub.
I experimented boiling an egg and reading the comment in another thread stopped doing it. I used the old method and enjoyed my egg with tomato. Done folding some clothes !!
Today I sanded and painted garden bench, about 1/3 done. Visited old lady down the street (rode my bike) to talk about babysitting her cat when she goes away next week. Pulled some weeds in her garden. It was a lovely end of summer day.
I never understood this whole keyword research thing. Now have market samurai, and I tell ya, it really helps. You can fling in ideas, and, the feedback is whether it's worth it or not. You have no idea how many dud ideas I have had previously, not made a dime. Now my time is a bit more focused and more likely to see some rewards.
My hubscore just hit 100! yehhhhhh me! Thank you to all my followers (almost 200)for helping me to get here. Thanks also to HP for giving us writers a great format to work with.I'm so happy right now
I remember the good old days around here, just thought I'd see if there is anything left.Everything is on the table. Post any conversation you want. What is on you mind? What did you accomplish today or recently? What is your opinion about the latest fiasco reported on the media? Pin forum rules...
