Everybody talks about Kontera knowledgably but me. I never saw any instructions as to what it is and how to sign up for it. Should I? How?
Waste of time as far as I am concerned. I have turned it off. They pay roughly 20% of what adsense will pay, but still only pay out on $100. So - you can work out how long it will take to get paid.
I am still waiting for my first payment after 6 months........
I'm not an expert at all, but Kontera is an adv. program affiliate you can use on your hubs if you like. If you go to your account button, and hit 'affiliates,' there is information that will walk you through the initial set up.
Kontera is the highlighted words you see on a lot of web pages--when viewers click on the words within your article, you earn $$ (or cents at the moment in my case!).
I'm thinking those who write content oriented articles on non-consumer or review type topics may fair some better, because people get engaged in the text itself. I am a little bit of both--commercial and essay/topic based--as a writer, so...
My Kontera seems to be earning a little everyday, and I have just started it... Tho a little lower than adsense earnings, it is true.
BTW--and since I don't want to start another topic here--
Is it OK to unpublish some of your hubs that are season specific? I'm thinking of all my Xmas shopping ideas. Will this help your overall rating, or not?
Hey...that would be cool ... if articles ... auto-archived! lol just a thought
Kontera pays poorly. If you have half-decent paying Adsense clicks then I wouldn't recommend it.
For a newbie, you all sure make sleepless nights of reading how-to relaxing.
I would not recommend Kontera, low pay, long payout. Stick to Google Adsense instead!

Adsense sent me a message that says that my publisher ID is not in my Hubpages and HowTheyPlay ads.text files. My earnings are fine generally, not too concerned, just wanted to bring the issue to your attention.

If you have an Adsense Affiliate account linked to your Hubpages domain, check your site authorizations in Adsense. I received an alert today:"In the past 7 days, your ad code has appeared a significant number of times on websites you haven't authorized. To avoid lost revenue, make sure...

Do we need to verify the niche sites in Google Adsense if a hub is moved to the new domain?

Hi all,We'd like to see if there is any interest among Hubbers to create a Wikipedia article on HubPages. We can not author the article on our own, as that presents a conflict of interest according to Wikipedia's rules, nor can we compensate any of you to write anything, since that would be another...

In the last couple of months I've been getting a lot more sun than the average geek as I've been helping a neighbour out with their vineyard (after moving out to the country). So when I saw that a Flagship Hub Topic on "how to make wine" was up for grabs I didn't hesitate in staking my...

I think I goofed my adsense application by writing in hubpages.com instead of my profile url, help?I'm new here. I just filled out the app for my adsense but when I plopped in the url request I put hubpages.com twice instead of my hubpages.com/ profile url. So it won't let me go back...
