So I have been here for almost a month, and still am denied Google Adsense. Its odd, because I see people post how they only wrote one hub and were excepted. Others, in the same spot as me. The same message I receive is that I do not meet their criteria. Does anyone know why this may be, or what I can do to get excepted? I live in the US, so I don't believe the 6 month waiting period applies to me. Any tips are appreciated.

Personally, I cannot speak for how easy/difficult it is to get accepted on Google Adsense based solely on your hub page(s), as my journey began from another website of mine. It was only months later that I joined HubPages.

I will have a look at your posts and see if I discover anything.

First thing I would suggest is to just keep writing hubs and applying. You can also try putting up a few YouTube videos, or write some blogs, either by buying a domain and hosting, or using Blogger.

Second, they are probably making it harder to get an account. I've had mine for around 2 years, and I got instantly approved with 2 YouTube videos.

AdSense isn't the huge money maker it used to be. It honestly isn't the end of the world if you don't have an account. As soon as I stop being lazy and get to it, every single one of my blogs will only have 1 AdSense ad on them, because affiliate marketing offers so much more money potential. You can't use all of them here, but some people have had really good luck with Amazon and Ebay.

I haven't noticed anyone being accepted recently with just one or two Hubs.  I have seen a couple of idiots posting about getting Adsense and making a fortune with a Hub or two, but they're just making up stories.

Google is fussy about who gets an Adsense account because their advertisers don't want their ads to appear on poor quality websites.  It's the advertisers who pay, so Google wants to look after them.

Unfortunately, once you've applied, you can't change the site you applied with:  so if you want to apply with a blog instead, you'll need to write to Adsense and ask them if you can delete your application and start over.  So I'd suggest soldiering on with your HubPages application.

First thing to do is triple-check you applied properly, using the correct URL etc.
      http://hubpages.com/learningcenter/signup-AdSense

If you got something wrong, then you'll need to email Adsense to sort it out.

Assuming everything is OK, the next thing is to guess what Adsense doesn't like about your account.   This is my guess:

When I looked at your profile, the first impression I got was, "this girl has hit the keyword tool and is picking out all the highly searched topics to write about, not the stuff that interests her"

Google hates that.  If you read their definition of a "quality website", one of the questions they ask is:
"Are the topics driven by genuine interests of readers of the site, or does the site generate content by attempting to guess what might rank well in search engines?"

So what reason were you given for the refusal? because 19 hubs should be enough so long as too many aren't idle.

Well I am not able to get into the Ad Program, nor Ebay without Google Adsense. The only one I can get into is Amazon, because you don't have to be approved with adsense for Amazon. The message I keep receiving is this:

Thank you for your interest in Google AdSense. After reviewing your
application, our specialists have found that it does not meet our program
criteria. Therefore, we are unable to accept you into our program.

We have certain policies in place that we believe will help ensure the
effectiveness of Google ads for our publishers as well as for our
advertisers. We review all publishers, and we reserve the right to decline
any application. As we grow, we may find that we are able to expand our
program to more web publishers with a wider variety of web content.

Please note that we may not be able to respond to inquiries regarding the
specific reasons for our decision. Thank you for your understanding.

Yes,  If you go to your account, how many hubs have as (H) in the last column?

And while it is probably not a factor, some of your pictures look like they might be copyrighted and not free to use.

All of my hubs have the "H", but one. All my pictures are free to use for commercial use.

I usually do the Google Advanced search for pictures, Flixr the commons, or pixabay. I don't know at this point I am almost willing to change all my pictures just to make sure that is not the reason. I do only search for pictures that are available for commercial use. Where do you find your pictures?

I'd try creating your own website or blog. It doesn't have to be huge, but that is the way I was accepted by Google. Just use your blog/website address when trying to get accepted. Then you'll have two sources of income when you do get accepted, so you killed two birds with one stone..

          2. psycheskinner profile image81

I would suggest giving the source.  They don't look like freestock--especially the studio shots of female models.

If the hubs are not idled, I honestly have no idea what the problem is.  I would suggest asking on the adsense forums.  Adsense staff check there.

I'm wondering if Google is making it more difficult to get accepted? For the last few weeks I have seen thread after thread started by hubbers who have plenty of good content -- as much if not more than what many of us had when we were accepted -- but who are getting turned down. Just a thought. Has anyone else noticed this, or does someone have some updated info or insider knowledge?

    1. SarahLynnB profile image61
SarahLynnBposted 10 years agoin reply to this

I agree with you. I am wondering, and I have also read after doing some internal research that hubpages and squidoo have been extremely effected due to the panda and penguin updates Google has completed. I heard traffic has gone down significantly and they are pounding down on more freelancers because they want the best of the best. But in all honestly, I think that is not so good for Google, as they will get less views all around.

      1. SarahLynnB profile image61
SarahLynnBposted 10 years agoin reply to this

But my point from the message above I accidentally left out is, I am curious if those updates and their pounding down on Freelancers has effected who they are approving for Adsense.

Another thing, (sorry if I am rambling) I have noticed when I re-apply to Google Adsense I am immediately getting denied. There is no way my content is being reviewed that quickly.

          1. Sapper profile image66
Sapperposted 10 years agoin reply to this

It's not, you have to remove the code between getting denied. I'd say wait a few days to a week, then reapply and put the code back in. I ran into a similar problem when applying for my business account. The bots where trying to crawl through a preview of a new page, which obviously they can't, so I was getting denied for them not having access. I took all the ads off, waited 3 days or so, and tried again.

            1. SarahLynnB profile image61
SarahLynnBposted 10 years agoin reply to this

How do I removed the code? I don't have an affiliate ID filled in, but when I go to hubpages earnings and click that link it comes up saying my account affiliate ID application has been denied in red lettering.

              1. Sapper profile image66
Sapperposted 10 years agoin reply to this

If the configure next to Adsense in the earnings settings doesn't have a publisher ID in it, it's removed.

You'll still have to not only wait a little bit, but make changes (add content) before applying again. Everything for approving AdSense accounts is automated, so if it's exactly the same as before, there is a 100% chance it will get denied again. My guess is they are making it tougher to get an account. Stick with it, write more varied hubs, and you'll get approved eventually.

I would be interested in the answer here. somebody the other day wrote he published one hub and got a pay out. WHAT! i have 8 hubs and tried twice with adsense but still no sucess. I've been here 8 weeks now. So is having another blog the key? lets see.

One handy tip is to publish and post some articles and posts on the relevant web space and leave it for a while. Then when it is indexed, worry afterwards about the ads, as you stand a better chance of being accepted. Several millions new web pages are created every day and Google has to "find" them all. Even Google is not that fast. Rumor is - it is slowing somewhat...

The Oxen are slow, but the earth is patient.

10 hubs is enough for earning, as a US citizen you have no problem. You have more opportunities than me, because, adsense, amazone , ebby etc. are fully  supporting you .

I don't like your blogs though - abs etc smelling of affiliate links.
You can go to webanswers/docstock and easily get one there. Try with a new email and never used address.
      All the best.

Patience is the key, it takes time to have adsense approved. Give your content some time to generate traffic, maybe try after a month and apply again.

Thanks for posting this concern. Got the same problem here. Adsense rejected me with no notifications or email explaining why my application was rejected. I only assumed that my country is in the list of countries with 6 mos period of waiting or maybe i don't have enough hubs written as of this moment. In terms of quality, i think has it because it has an H remark. I am not so sure if the traffic affects  my application in adsense. I am just new here too so I don't really know how things work here.

      Hi Jule729,

I'm not sure about the 6-month wait in the Philippines. I'm pretty sure it applies in India, but I'm not sure about other countries.

I see you have 3 hubs. In the past, putting up ten good-quality hubs seemed to work for most people regarding Adsense approval. Write some more articles and reapply. Hopefully 10 will be the magic number for you, although I lately have seen several writers who say they were rejected even though they had more than ten articles, so I'm not sure what to recommend any more.

        Hi SmartAndFun,

Thanks for your recommendations. The least thing that I can do now is to read a lot of post about adsense and how things will work for me. I hope 10 hubs will be my lucky number for them to approve my application. For now, I will write 10 hubs and will inform these thread/forum if they will approve my application or not.

        Thanks a lot!

There are also cases where Google approve you today and then simply terminate tomorrow when you start posting ads in the blog,,,, so just continue to submit more hubs until they decide to approve your application.

      Hi snlee,

    2. Marisa Wright profile image89
Marisa Wrightposted 10 years agoin reply to this

They will only terminate you if you did something wrong.  For instance, some people try to get around the six month delay by pretending they're from another country, or some other method. They'll get their account terminated when they find out (which they will).  Others write some "safe" stuff to get their account, then start filling their blog with spam or plagiarized content once they get ads.

You have to be very sure you understand Adsense rules if you're going to run a blog using it.

Okay, so I contacted hubpages administration and had them delete the google adsense info on my page, so that everything would clear. I updated my hubs and applied with a different email, basically starting over from scratch. Then almost immediately I get the same message back I am denied for not meeting the criteria. There is no way my content was reviewed. This is getting extremely frustrating, I want to keep writing, but down the road when I try to apply once again, I would like for them to actually review my content, and not sure what I should do if the same thing happens again. Any ideas of why this may be? I have been spending so much time on my hubs, editing them, changing and deleting all of my ads, basically whatever I can do, and now that I even resubmitted my application from scratch to receive the same message within 30 minutes, it's like really?

    1. Sapper profile image66
Sapperposted 10 years agoin reply to this

Editing your hubs will do nothing. You need to add more content, not update what you already have. The entire approval process is automated, it sees the same url's with none added, and auto rejects it. Write more hubs, give it time (1 day isn't time) and try again later.

      1. SarahLynnB profile image61
SarahLynnBposted 10 years agoin reply to this

okay, will do. I am a pretty impatient person when it comes to that. I just don't want all my time and effort to be worth nothing. I enjoy writing, and won't give up. I am trying to earn an extra income because I could really use it, just like many others. Writing gives me the ability to relieve stress and gives me a calming effect. I found a joy in life, and it makes me happy to write. I am just worrying about being rejected right away when I re-apply months down the road. I just hope they actually give it time and review everything without receiving an automatic generated denial.
