I have my main line and the information on that hub.  Now I have people wanting the other family members and their families on there too.  I have all that and much more.  Now how should I do that?  Should I make each family a new hub and have their information on them -or- should I continue the way that it is?  I think it will get to be too much information if I just continue to post everyone on the one hub.  I have pictures that I want to add to them too--just acquired some of my grandmother on my mother's side.  Hey this stuff is very confusing!  So I want to make it less confusing to do and for others who want to read it too.  Oh and the hub address is:  http://hubpages.com/hub/My-LEWIS-Genealogy

I would make each family a separate hub - that way it will be easier for those searching for it to find it - make sure you have the family name in the title - XX family history or XX genealogy. Then link them all together for the big picture
      Good luck!

Thank you and that sounds like a good idea.  Now you know if I am not on the hubs you will know I am busy geting all this together!

One other thing:  What kind of Amazon  things should I  put on the hubs beside genealogy software?

Very interesting.  Quite lengthy, but very interesting.  I can only trace my family back to my great grandmother on one side and well, to me on the other.  In terms of your question, I would suggest that you separate each family into its own hub, for sake of space as well as confusion.  Question two - aside from genealogy software, don't forget genealogy books, and perhaps something child-related (I have seen family trees that looked like actual trees that the "grown-ups" could put pictures on little sticky parts so the child could organize them on the "family tree" accordingly,) or even information on the particulars of the countries of origin for the family.  This would open up not only books, but maps, souviners, flags, etc.  Hope this helps!

It does help much.  I have both maternal a paternal sides to my mother and father's lines all the way back to my g-g-g-g-g ?? grand's on all four sides!
I have been asked many years to put all this online and I like hubpages layout to do this and so put my first direct line up and then they wanted more....so it is getting very "deep" in here!!! lol

I haad an AHHA moment!!  I just figured out who was my g g grandmother's brother was and now it fits.
      My family Surnames are:
LEWIS, RANK, SPIKER, JENKINS, ENTLER, SCHMEIDER and I have all of them!!  My aunt swears that we are related to the late Richard Burton--his real last name is Jenkins, but I am having a problem following that line to him.  We ARE the ninth Heir to the Welsh Throne though!!  Very interesting stuff coming--when I get less confused that is!! lol

How about using titles like... 1st generation, 2nd, 3rd... etc .. with the family names? .. maybe sell items that people can use for family displays .. or items that can become heirlooms? smile good job LG!

I thought about that but when I get more informtion of the first William Lewis line then that would make it all different.  I am still looking for the John R. Lewis siblings that were either left in Wales or migrated somewhere else or???  I have been looking for that for years!!

I just found the will of Ann Price and William's children, but it has nothing of his family and I can't seem to find his death information.

Yeah, I thinkit is on my Jenkins line somehwere.  This stuff is very interesting and will take me many months to put it all up.  The Jenkins of my ancestors were very rich---only our side of the family didn't get anything....Theywere the Catholics and my grandmother had a Catholic Mass and burial.  Her name was Ann Rank.  Her father was the Entler and her husband's mother's side was Jenkins  ...I think that is correct.  When i do it all then I will remember!!  Genealogy gets confusing.  Her sister married into my father's line and that got confusing at first....then On the Lewis Line--the first daughter was Mary and then she died early and the next daughtr was named Mary too===that was totally confusing!!

If you have that many people clamoring to be included, I would consider doing one of those capstone series deals.

    There isn't a Welsh throne, though (-:

Yes there is!  There was also before England got involved.  Did you forget about Princes Diana?

LondonGirlposted 14 years agoin reply to this

She wasn't Princess Diana - she was Diana, Princess of Wales.

There was a very short period (less than 30 years) when Wales was united in any way. And that was a very looooong time ago (-:

      Re-reas it yourself! It says:

"Boundary changes and the equal division of patrimony meant that few princes ever came close to ruling the whole of Wales.

The names of those known to have ruled over one or more of the kingdoms are listed below (those in heavy type ruled over a large portion of Wales)."

There were two acknowledged Princes of Wales, Llywelyn ap Gruffydd and Dafydd ap Llywelyn.

I am saying that all that Jenkins famil line has already been done many years ago.  It is in book form and has the links already there.  I did not do it, a lawyer did for my Aunt.

I'm not saying you are lying, but I think the potential claimants to a non-existant throne are a bit difficult to ascertain with any certainty, 700 years later!

I don't think it is so far fetched.  My tree goes back to the King of Scot and Robert Bruce.  It is really confusing too.  So even though my german ancestors migrated from Germany in the early 1900's, if I go further back, they came from Irland etc...geneology is intense.

LG- can I call you Princess Guenivere!  smile That sounds so enchanting.

You misunderstand - it's perfectly possible to trace that far back, it's the 9th in line to a non-existant throne I'm dubious about.

Okay I found the excerpt in the amny pages of my Jenkins Geneaology.  This is on my Maternal Grandmother's Dies:

" William Jenkins, the first born of Jonathan and Rachel Jenkins, was the ninth heir of the Royal Welsh blood, fought under Cromwell and the origin of the Commonwealth of England; under Llewlyn, (not sure of the spelling)  and noted Prince of Wales in his period and Roderick Du----------(not sure that this is) }The Black Roderick"."

So that is what it says in my genealogy!

I will and so sorry aobut my typos.  I have been having quite a time with my eyes being blurry the last few days.  That and the electric has gone out three time since the wind storms.

Hope your eyes are OK - do you know why they are blurred?

    1. Lady Guinevere profile image74
Lady Guinevereposted 14 years agoin reply to this

Nope.  Been to the eye doctor and he said it was dry eyes so I got the meds for that and they do nothing.  They tried to give me stronger glasses and they didn't work either and it isn't anuthing consistent.  I do know that when it is cloudy outside they are better. But it isn't consistent enough to figure out why so I can fix it.  It's been like this for about a year now.  I have even tried all those eye washes to no avail.  I have cats and have taken allergy meds and they help with other things, just not my eyes.
They will be OK in a few days.

LG- I was going through your profile history and found this wonderful thread that you started. Although the Throne of Wales doesn't exist anymore(as mentioned 30 years back abolished) but in case if it did then it would be wonderful to feel good that someone is 9th in the line.
Even my father feels good when he mentions that we are related to one of the 12 Alwars (Saints) from South India. I guess we all need to feel good and our heritage is one way of feeling good about ourselves. big_smile Btw now I am looking forward to read that hub cool

I know things from before me are not going to be the same as when I got here, but it still feels good that someone in my line was an heir to a throne.
