Where are my notifications?

   Why is it that I frequently don't get notified of new hubs published by hubbers that I follow?
   I feel guilty when I stumble upon a hub that has been sitting for days and never received notification for it from HP. I've gone back into my email and double checked on several occasions and they're not there. This seems to be turning into a regular thing. Is anyone else having this problem?

      I don't think anyone's worried, Cat! You're not a neglectful person, and you're very sweet.
      If you're not getting the individual notifications, you should at least be getting the notification e-mail from HubPages that gives you a list of all of the notifications for the past day or so. I look over that every once in a while, to make sure I don't miss any real good ones.

         Aw... Kathryn! See how supportive you are and talk about case and point... here I am, getting back to my own forum 2 days later and you still love me
         I stopped paying attention to the notifications on my pages a long time ago because I realized that I couldn't keep up with them. So I keep my email open and rely on them coming in through there. I really shouldn't be complaining because I get plenty of notifications about hubs that I can't get over to quick enough anyway... but when I find someone's published something and I've missed it entirely, I feel horrible!
         Yeah, I guess I can always refer to that list they send me, by then I'm usually so far behind, I get overwhelmed... lol.
         By the way, I always have your name down... as a 'get over to her pages' kind of reminder... but I'm not nearly as good about it as I'd like to be... just thought I'd let you know

      I'm sorry it is happening to you Cat. Sweet that you are so worried! You are always good at responding to my hubs. I am the neglectful one. No worries, kitty cat!! : ) Well, not from me anyway. But, it would be frustrating. I would miss you if you ever quit following me, I have to say...you show true character, that you care about your fellow hubbers. How sweet is that? Gwen

         Aww... You aren't neglectful! I'm supposed to be the insecure hubber... lol, I'm working on it though Hey, it is hard to get to everyone, I think we all understand that, really. Still can't help feeling guilty when we miss 'em though!
         FYI ~ I would never stop following you, not in a million years! I love your poems and they take me to my happy place! (Trust me... I need a happy place )

      Make sure to check your email settings and that each type of message you receive is set to always.

         Excellent! Thank you! I think I have all my 'Always' checked, but I'll double check!
         I let SPAM be the culprit, only for a very short time when I first got here, but luckily I caught on to that.
         I'm off to check my settings, thanks so much for taking the time to respond!

   I had that problem once ..it seemed that yahoo was sending my notifications were being sent to my spam .. LOL
   only after I looked there did I find them .. you might need to adjust your settings filter.
   this happened after yahoo changed  their whole system and made me change my password.
   now it is all screwed up worse.. ha, ha, ha ...so much for technology ??

      Hi Michael!
      When this first started happening, or at least when I first caught on, I went over to my spam folder, but they aren't there either ... I don't want people to think I don't care about their hubs!
      Maybe I'll give the spam folder another checky... and don't even get me going on modern technology!

      Ha ha... I try to convince myself that if I don't look at the time on the corner of my screen, then it's not late! ... I know, I've been saying I need to get my buns to bed for the last two hours! ... Just so much to read and write and so little time.
      .... and thank you, that's awfully kind of you to say! I just adore so many of the people here, you included, of course, and I want them to know their hubs are important to me

               ha, ha, ha ..  you and shanmarie... are two kooky one of a kind twins.. Just reading the interaction between you on a hub .. is better than  watching the Saturday cartoons .. oops ..I didn't say that .
               it is late here     so I know it is late over there..
               but any way .. well hope  you like the poem since I am making you wait .. but then tomorrow you would not.. get the freakin notification and miss it .. LOL

   Cat......aHA!  I see you are yet another young hubber, I have the opportunity to help, to learn to, "relax."   Cat, honey, listen to an old lady....I promise I will not steer you wrong.
   Hubville is a "positive" environment, yes?  Filled with really awesome people and great writers.....yes?  98% of us, as far as I've been able to see, are here to indulge in what we love the most......"writing."  In addition, as if that's not wonderful enough, we meet some of the nicest, most intelligent people, from all over the world!  We share, read, learn and grow.  Wow....and we're all, "addicted."
   Whatever little drawbacks or issues that may arise, now & then, are often things beyond our control and can be glitches in the system.  These are eventually straightened out.
   You have quickly become an active and popular member of the community.  There is no reason for you to "feel guilty," simply because you may not have commented IMMEDIATELY, the moment a hub is published......whether you were notified or not.   As you travel and wander about, at some point, these hubs will appear, for you to read.   Actually, the longer you are here, the more people you meet and follow....and who follow you......become "hundreds."   Unless you chain yourself to your desk, 24/7 and do nothing else in your life, but Hubpages.....don't you think you might MISS a few hubs and a few hubbers?  You'll bury yourself in guilt and worry. 
   Our fellow-hubbers, are NOT "going to think you don't CARE about their hubs," or that you don't care about them.  Remember, we all experience a lot of the same things and understand the Hub Lifestyle.   
   I hope this helps to calm your concerns.  I truly believe what I have told you.  Since February, I have been MUCH less visible and active as I had been during my first 2 years in the "Hub."   I love everyone as much as I always have.....and I'm pretty sure no one has kicked me to the curb!!  LOL

      Oh, Paula... I just love you to pieces and I will listen to anything you have to say, ever, 'cept that old lady part! You're a timeless beauty and I feel funny even saying that, cause you're too young to be given an older person's compliment.... lol.
      Anyway, I live on the corner of Guilt and Worry... lol! No just kidding, you really made me feel a world better and yes, I've noticed that the more people I follow the more hubs there are to contend with and I have realized that the longer I'm here, this will only continue to increase. So, I guess I just have to learn to sit back, relax and enjoy myself
