Well - I've now topped the 4000 on that one hub.

Reading all these answers have me thinking "Why did I not complete all I had to in order to get any money from this site??? What a hoot! A penny here or there wont make a difference to my lifestyle. :-)

That particular hub took off well.  It passed up all my hubs published before it.

Did you have a bunch of hubs that you unpublished (see you have almost 600 fans but only 10 hubs)?

    1. Neil Sperling profile image59
Neil Sperlingposted 14 years agoin reply to this

Nope - only un-published one hub as the content was out dated.

My big hitter was one of my first hubs, and it is still getting 7-25 hits a day - took almost a year to reach 1000 - but exploded for a while then dropped down to the 7-25.

I find that fascinating to follow.

I'm not the one to ask how to do it.  These hubs that get the most views are not best hubs for making money.  You really can't confuse the two.  I do have a couple of other hubs that get higher pageviews that DO make me the bulk of my money.  If I knew how to duplicate them, you'd bet I'd have several hundred more just like them.

Around 4,000 on a few different hubs.  Haha.  I get a lot of viewers, but not a lot of clicks on some hubs.

It's gardening/lifestyle, Christmas, and recipes that make cash (but I haven't been real studied about it, either...so not that much).

I think Relache has answered this before in a another thread. I believe she is one of the ones that gets a really good percentage of search engine traffic. (better than most) If you look at her topics it stands to reason.

Even if all the hubbers we currently have (119,000) stopped what they're doing and go look at that one specific hub, we'd all have to do it twice to get that many views.  I realize it's possible that it could have come from hubber traffic, and I'm sure she gets a lot of hubber traffic because people want to be like her, but she isn't one of HubPages' top performers from hubber traffic.

My Civil War game hub has hit 1400 total views, more than double my next best hub and 7 or 8 times better than most of my hubs. Of course it has links to one of the hardest to find patches for the game plus instructions for making it work (Windows 3.1 game playing on XP.) My backlink to the person's patch site bumped him up to #1 in the search engine lol. I don't even think he uses the site anymore.

If any person gets their ideas across better than I can, that's great.  Hubpages is something I do just because I can't get published elsewhere.  I have no illusions about hubpages.  I don't earn anything worthwhile here It provides for me a nice little medium to have friends and family read my stuff - that's it.
