I'm not much of an ebay or amazon enthusiast, but I assume you could give a read on this topic:

In cased you missed the announcement, Ebay changed from impressions to actual sales. So you will earn only if a viewer buys something from Ebay.

Which is why I no longer use Ebay on my hubs.

This is how Amazon has always worked.

I think the only way to earn from eBay is to write a review of a specific product. Purely informational Hubs I don't think will make sales on eBay.

Even when I first started on Hubpages I never saw the practicality of using something from an auction site. The long term benefits aren't there, so I don't use Ebay. However, with that said, I do have the same problem with Amazon. I've read up on this just last night, and may be trying something different with my links.

I agree with your take on eBay.   If HubPages enabled us to select "Buy It Now" items, it would be worth doing, but as it stands, it's tough to make any money from auction items.

As for Amazon - if you want to make money on Amazon, you need to choose products that are directly related to the topic of your Hub, and preferably a product which you can recommend, otherwise you're better off not using an Amazon capsule at all!

For instance, you have a meditation Hub with two meditation books, but you say nothing about them. I would change it to ONE book, which is all about "finding your center", and include a short description showing why this book will help your reader achieve that goal.

By the way, you also have a banner on that Hub which looks like an affiliate ad for a dating site. Dating is not relevant to meditation so the Hub will likely get unpublished for unrelated links, once the moderators notice it.
