We finally found a reliable company to come and finish the rest of our house!!  Whoooo hoooo it's been a long time.  Anyway they will be starting this week and it will take about 3 weeks to finish the job.  They do al the work, but I have to move things around and rearrange things.  That takes time and I really hate doing that.  I will be on and off depending on what they are doing that day.

    Party On Dudes!!!

That's good news! But unfortunately I can't say the same about your being gone for a bit. Anyway, what's more important is what makes you happy, aint that right?

Btw, I followed the "trail" you provided and was able to find the spot. Don't give it the time of day as we know better, right? cool

It has been 7 years since our house was demolished by a shady contractor.  I have a hub about it if you care to read it.  7 long years!!

The front deck will be replaced and the back deck will fixed so that it meets code.  They are going to be replacing the insullation above the bedrooms.  I am severly allergic to that so I will not be around when they go to do that!

Have them provide a schedule, a detailed schedule and hold them to it, they might take offense but that way you keep them on track and can hold payments if they are not performing. If you have any problems, I'm around.

Been there, done that and leanred a whole lot!  I think we are OK this time around.  Tey are a franchise---Handyman Connection.  They have to have all their licenses up to date and also have at least 10 years experience.

They ae coming today with the contract and stuff.  I am going to be copying all their licenses and checking them out really good--like dates of reneals and things like that.  I am totally scared that we will be ripped off again!

Good luck with the house.  I know it'll be a lot of work for you, but I am sure that you just love the end result.

Everything checks out.  I looked the license number up on the WV Board of Contractors and his license is up to date!  He will start on Wednesday morning on the front deck and, weather permitting, will have that one done by Friday afternoon!!

    I already have plans:
I will be planting lots of flowers and such.  This is the time of year I get ansy!  It isn't the right time to plant, but I want to sooo bad.  I already put in a wish for the plant that I want between the ramp and house--Mock Orange.  I think I will plant two Forsythia's on each side of that.  The yellow and white will bring out the Hunter Green we are painting the house after all the renovations are finished!  I have a landscaper who lives across the street from us.  One of Dennis's clients brings those large brown eggs into his work and gives them to he staff.  He is also getting up som of the Chicken poop so we can make it into compost!  Our neighbor wanted me to give him my wish for whatever plants I want and he is also going to be getting 25 bags of humus for us because his boss wants them gone--not sold, just he wants the old stuff cleared out.  Our gardens are going to be SUPER this year!!
