The votes have finally been counted! Stop by the HubPages Blog for this year's winners.
Yay! All of my shameless plugging finally paid off!
Your avatar should be on your prize mug, imo. Congratulations!
Congrats spartucusjones - one small step for HP's, one giant leap for the WWE!
Thanks Beth! I'm glad I won or I would have had to hit someone with a steel chair!
You have to stop posting on the same threads I do. Every time someone responds to you, I get confused.
Maybe since we are kicking this WWE style, maybe the two of you can have a loser changes their name match.
Thank you Christy Kirwan and all of the Hubpages staff, I am so flattered that you guys thought me worthy
to win a lifetime award, I can think of a few other Hubbers who deserve this award more than I do and hopefully I will see those names on the list over the next few years.
I opened my email this morning and almost fell off my chair when I saw that I had won this award, it really means a lot to me and I am proud to accept my T/shirt and mug.
take care everyone and Happy Hubbing!
Congratulations. It's exciting to see these awards and I'm glad to see work recognized. Well done. BTW - what's the little "a" mean on your photo?
It is for the Apprentice program (no longer functioning).

Thank you so much for the Hubbie award. I am grateful to everyone who voted for me and to everyone else at HubPages for making this site such an enjoyable place for writers. There are some wonderful writers and some lovely people here. Congratulations to all the other Hubbie award winners!
Congratulations, AliciaC, for your well-deserved award. Your hubs are educational, informative, interesting and funny.
All the best to each of the other winners as well.
Peg
It's a fine bunch of winners we have this year, so Congratulations to you all!
Wow, I just saw this. Congratulations everyone. (I'm so glad Randy won an award!)
OMG! Community Activist! Really?! Well, I'm just seeing this because I got home late from my monthly block club meeting where we addressed fighting crime in the neighborhood and planning our block party. Ha ha ha ha ha ha .
Seriously, though, thanks for the votes guys. I really do care about this community and don't mind speaking up in the forums about issues that affect us and the site as a whole. Hugs and blessings.
Best fiction writer? Whoo hoo! Thanks to all my Hubpages friends!
Congrats to all the nominees and winners! BillyBuc is a two time winner of Best All Around Hubber. Nicely done!
Glad to see the result. Congrats to all the winners. Keep on writing. All the best dears.
Gee, if I three-peat as Most Likely next year, do I get the job?
Congrats, everyone! Well-hubbed!
To Jimmy,...dude, lifetime achievement. In Internet years, that's like two reincarnations extra.
Now I have to go figure out if I want to change my avatar to look all professional (like an employee) or something more co-forum-queen....
Hey, I just discovered something really interesting when I hover over my Hubbie Award accolade. This is what it says:
"(hubber's name) has won a Hubbie Award, selected by our community annually and given to Hubbers worthy of acclaim and infamy!"
So, was there a time when we had other categories in jest for "bad hubbers," like in the forums? Or maybe it's meant to be funny. Cool beans.
Here is the definition (Google) of infamy:
in·fa·my
ˈinfəmē/
noun
the state of being well known for some bad quality or deed.
"a day that will live in infamy"
synonyms: notoriety, disrepute, ill fame, disgrace, discredit, shame, dishonor, ignominy, scandal, censure, blame, disapprobation, condemnation
an evil or wicked act.
"one of history's greatest infamies"
Not complaining, just made me say, hmmmmmmm?
You're right on the money! The Hubbies used to have a category for Most Likely to be Banned in previous years, but we took it out last year because we thought it was a bit unkind and wanted to keep the Hubbies positive.
Hmmmmm is so right on, Janshares.
I'm thinking of Franklin D. Roosevelt - A date which will live in infamy, December 7, 1941.
Congratulations to you. Nicely done.
Peg
I spotted the 'infamous' description a long time ago, but I didn't complain, because in my case, it seemed to be quite accurate.
