Does anyone know any other site similar to Hubpages?
I'm starting to like this site and I'm realizing that it's really better than all the other sites so, it would be nice to find another similar site.
Anyone?
As Marisa said, there are quite a few other sites out there. I recently wrote a hub on other AdSense revenue sharing sites that you can find from my profile that gives an overview of the main ones.
Having tried a few of them, HP gives (by far) the best return on time spent in terms of earnings, traffic, visibility and community.
Similar sites are Wizzley, Zujava, Seekyt, Examiner, Infobarrel. I haven't found any of them to pay as well as HubPages though.
Of the few that Marisa mentioned in the previous post, Wizzley comes closest to being like HubPages, in my opinion.
Similar sites are Wizzley, Zujava, Seekyt, Examiner, Infobarrel.
Ive found these aren't as consistent as hub
There is no way to monetize webpages on Zujava now, unless you use your own affiliate links.
I've read a lot of reviews about the sites that you guys have mentioned and I know about them..
I have tried infobarrel before but I don't find it easy to write on their platform so...
Wizzley: Haven't personally tried it but I read a lot of reviews saying that you can barely earn on there. What's the minimum word count though? I don't recall that.
Seekyt: Heard that it might be closing soon because the site's owner is selling it.
Zujava: Gives you earnings via adsense and I'm currently not capable of receiving payments by google because of certain bank related limitations here ( Wish I could receive payments from Google via Paypal though).
Examiner: I once tried to register but I was redirected to another site which seemed to be spamming, I tried to do that once and twice and more but it always did the same thing so then I quit.
There are other sites that I know about such as : Writedge & Xomba.
Right now, I'm thinking about joining wizzley and xomba but not writedge since the earnings potential have got seriously low in the past 2 months.
Xomba seems promising and it has been running for some years so I think I should give it a try.
Do you guys have some reviews relating the earning potential for the sites mentioned here? ( If there are other sites as well).
Seekyt has already been sold and the new owner is now running it. Obviously, a new owner isn't going to buy a site just to close it!
Zujava earns from Adsense ads but you don't get paid by Adsense - you get paid by Zujava, and they pay by Paypal.
Examiner is not a spam site but you must be a US or Canadian to write for them.
I didn't even realise Xomba was still going! I posted a few articles there years ago but they stopped paying so I removed them.
Oh, really? That's good to know. Are you registered on there? And do you find it good?
Now, I'm getting confused about Zujava because I remember that I once read their FAQ's page and it said that writers would get paid through Adsense. Perhaps, I'm mixing between Zujava and Xomba hehe.. I'll check that out.
Haven't you sent Xomba's support any emails asking them about your payments? You shouldn't ignore that.. I think it is still running and accepting new registrations and I was thinking about registering on there but I won't anymore.
Thank you Marisaaa! You're amazing <3
Btw, I was talking about Seekyt in my first 2 questions.
I don't mean Xomba stopped paying me, I meant that they stopped paying all writers for a while. At least that's what I recall, maybe I'm wrong.
I don't write on any other site any more, and I rarely write on HubPages either now. Writing on revenue-sharing sites is not a cost-effective way of earning an income.
There's a 400 word count minimum requirement on Wizzley, and the first few pages from a new writer need to be okayed by the Wizzley staff.
In terms of earning potential -- I don't make much with Adsense on either Wizzley or HubPages, although I do make a little more with Hubpages (still, it's mere cents at the moment). My Amazon sales have been better on Wizzley though. I think part of that is because the Amazon modules on Wizzley are not hidden by Adblock, while Hubpages Amazon modules are hidden if the reader has Adblock on their browser.
I personally like the look of Hubpages better than Wizzley, but Wizzley is fine too.
Does Wizzley have a revenue program just like HP? Or does it only get your earnings shown/paid on/by adsense program itself?
My adsense earnings are also very low on here, I barely make about $0.20 a month, however, the earnings from the program that HP is having are much more better than adsense's.
I would like to know more about other writer's sites as well. I watch this forum to see what other hubbers recommend.
Wizzly and ezinne articles also work. But Hubpages is the best of all.
I have checked Ezine Articles but it doesn't seem like a site similar to HP. Here's what I read on their FAQS page:
" Want to generate more traffic to your website? We can help. EzineArticles.com is a community of 360,000+ Expert Authors who share their best original articles with our 30 million+ monthly visitors. Our Expert Authors get exposure and traffic back to their websites in exchange for the submission of their high-quality, original articles."
What's your experience with Wizzley? If you don't mind sharing it, of course
Why would you bother writing on ezinearticles - it doesn't pay a cent? Why would you write for free?
Stay here. I myself wasted a lot of time on different sites. Now I work on my own blog and Hubpages only.
I had discovered that HubPages expects a "professional polish" to hubs. The other sites which may hold your interest are: "Daily Two Cents, which pays and Live Journal does not.
If you have a camera, you could become a designer on oarttee.com and earn $10 for each shirt you sell, and $3 for each of your designs some else sells.
Edited to add: Then, there is always Zazzle.

Here's an announcement (dated Aug 11) from Harlow-McGaw, the owners of Daily Two Cents, Writedge, and other sites:"It saddens us to say we will be shutting down all our sites at the end of the month. We just can no longer afford to keep them going at a loss since we have so few active writers...

Are there other sites like Hubpages?Any other sites out there?

Hi,I've signed up and am ready to start making hubs in my specialised subject, but I was wondering what the earning potential of hubbig (if that's a word) actually is. I realise it all depends on how attractive your pages are and how good they are etc, but what are people actually earning? I am not...

... But on the other hand I am keenly reminded of Kipling's blind man and the elephant. Have I seized hold of a tail, or grasped the elephant? Last August, upon returning to Hubpages after a long and lucrative hiatus, I asked myself, "Self, how does one decide which articles to post here,...

I have recently started writing on infobarrel. I admire their 75% adsense and the interface is decent. How well does the site rank in terms of the search engines?

If you do, how is search traffic to your articles there? Has there been a recent change from the Google Panda or Penguin updates? Would you recommend this site to other writers?
