Hi Hubbers,
I'd like some help with passing the Quality Assessment Process. Will you please give feedback on my Hub Busting Out from Prudish to Erotic. What can I do to improve? Thanks!
I'd say that you have a whole bunch of unrelated images, an unrelated video, and too many Amazon capsules.
You could also add an intro to explain what the hub is actually about. It sort of flits around - I wasn't sure if the hub was about writing, sex, marriage counselling, your Christian upbringing or your life in general. The hub should really pinpoint one subject and expand on it.
HTH
It lacks focus because you are trying to promote six different books you wrote in a single piece. While the books are related, they aren't on the exact same topic. A hub needs a single niche topic, not six plus multiple topics about your background.
Your writing is very engaging. I'd suggest you break this hub into six hubs, keep each hub tightly focused, and write more on each specific book, explaining how and why you got to the point you wrote it individually and what it's about. I think it would give you more chances to be found and help you pass QAP.
I'll throw my opinion in too, I think your hub might be tripping the automatic filters for using the word sex too much. Using a word too often makes the bots think a hub is spam, and if it's a "naughty" word the bot thinks it's inappropriate content.
The hub seems to be an overview of the books you wrote, and with all the links to your books it may also be seen as overly promotional.
If these are the issues that are actually causing the problem, I'm not really sure how they can be fixed without significantly reworking the hub, but I can tell from your writing that you are smart so I'm sure you'll find a way to please the mods and the bots. Best of luck with it.
Thank you for your input. Apparently I will have to give this considerable thought before re-writing.
Yes it will take a lot of rewriting but I think the potential is worth it.
Bear in mind that Hubs written solely to promote your own product are not acceptable. A Hub must offer real value to the reader in its own right, not just be a press release.
So I would take each book and write a Hub talking about the particular issues in that book and how they affected you. Don't just copy material from the book, each Hub should be original new material. Then have an Amazon capsule for that book.
I also think you need to be careful about actually using "naughty" words too much. The filters are automated and can't tell the difference between someone using such words in a pornographic sense or a serious sense - annoying, but it's the way they work.
You guys - I made a bunch of updates. Please review, and let me know what you think! Thank you for all your help!
Thanks, all of you! It is finally published!
