Hello everyone!
This article of mine is said to have quality by the editor who reviewed it but isn't upto the standards yet. So it is placed in the editing queue (which is fairly long). The editor asks me to either wait for the hub to be edited by them or edit it myself.
It would be helpful if you could point out what mistakes I have made in this hub of mine. Thank you! Here's the link:
https://hubpages.com/education/History- … -of-Kuwait
Hi, starting from the heading, there should be a gap between Kuwait and the hyphen. Same goes for the next subheading, Camel...
How about adding a short intro?
Next, in this sentence 'Kuwait is a country devoid of trees (except palms).' A better way of putting it would be 'Kuwait is a country which is...'
There seem to be many such small errors. I would suggest you get this article checked by a proofreader, it would definitely help improve errors.
Hope I have been helpful...
"Kuwait is a country devoid of trees (except palms)" - that is not an error. It is perfectly good grammar.
Thank you so much Jason for helping me out. I will edit this hub and make the necessary changes.
Sakina, I'd say your problem with this Hub is focus. The heading refers to history, but your introduction talks about the living conditions.
I would start with a map showing the location of Kuwait, then an introductory paragraph something like, "Kuwait is an Arab country on the Persian Gulf. While there is evidence of habitation going back to 8,000 BC, modern Kuwait was founded by the Bedouins."
Then continue with your "Brief History of the Bedouins", but do not number the paragraphs, it's not necessary.
You're right! That's wonderful advice Marisa and thank you so much for your help. I will make the necessary edits right away.

I constantly look for ways to improve a hub, old, new or middle aged. It seems each time I'm brought back to a hub, by a new comment or notice any opportunity to change it I do so.Now when we do that, the hub is no longer active until reviewed. It becomes unpublished. Most of my changes...

How often do you edit/update your old Hubs, and does it help? They always recommend to update your Hubs every now and then to keep the content fresh and current. Do you do this? and if so, do you see results (ie., rise in views, comments, etc?)Normally I don't update as often as I should, but I'm...

Hey guys. All the way back in November '08, I completed NaNoWriMo. My first one too! Oh I was so proud, until I read it. It needed a lot of work. Still does. But unlike other times (i.e. when not having finished the book) when the editing has been easy, this time I am struggling a lot.So I'm looking...

I find it difficult to edit my hubs. My attempt was to give some edits to some of hubs when they remain not featured due to low engagement. But due to certain technical issues, I cannot finish the task. Similar problem I find in the Questions section too. I also find problem when I try to...

My article with the highest traffic is getting an edit. What's the logic behind this this if it's top of the SERPs and pulls in 1800 daily views? Is it for a better user experience or to potentially get more views? I would have though hubs with less views could have done with being edited.
