Just thought I'd get your attention and let you all know that my Hub, "How To Have A Successful Yard Sale' is now a HubNugget Wannabe!

    http://hubpages.com/_23fl42nabnav0/hub/ … -Yard-Sale

I would appreciate any and all votes, and if not a vote, then at least stop by and have a read!

I did not expect this to happen, but I was so pleasantly surprised when it did!

    Go here to vote:

    Thanks all!

Way to go! Now go forth and promote! Tell your friends, family, people at work, the neighbor's dog, that guy at the mini-mart with the wart that looks like Gene Hackman, anyone who can read and vote!

I've been meaning to have a look at this hub for a while. Darned if 15 hubnuggets isn't well and truly overload for me though! My brain is going to explode! LOL!

I will be reading wannabes tomorrow and voting smile

    Congrats!

    C.  Why am I up against you???  I loved how your pizza hub you wrote to answer my question. There are so many worthy entries this time.  Anyway, I feel honored to be nominated along side you.

Thanks KD! Thanks for your support, and I am also honored to be nominated with you! Hopefully we can both land on the weekly HubNugget newsletter!

Well I am just glad that one of my messages is getting out mainly..  Not knowing the info I provide in that hub just cost a potential customer of mine around 5 thousand dollars!

It's a great hub, Cricket! A shame it's a violation of HP's TOS to promote your own hubs in the forums....  roll

wow, didn't read that part apparently..  Hmm, sorry I broke the rules.. I will know better next time.

Unfortunately, being in sales I am all about the self promotion, so I suppose I will have to stay out of the forums..

Does this mean if someone asks a question on a forum thread that I have already written a hub in answer to, that I am not allowed to post a link to my hub answering the question?

The answer to this would be pretinant to the original poster of this thread, eh?

No, this is exactly the case, and the only case, when posting links to your own hubs is acceptable and encouraged smile

        Oops.

Cricket, this was not meant as a slap on your wrist, but a heads up to other newbs that promoting their own hubs by posting a link to the hub in the forums is a violation of TOS.

Altho Misha might disagree, I don't think your comment could be taken as "Go look at my wonderful hub!".  *I'm* the one who said it's great...because it is! cool

Thank you for the clarification..  I am sure some of our posts have been misread over the years, eh?

But I am a shameless self promoter, I just need to do a better review of the TOS and don't mentally accept the excuse of "I thought it was against the rules, but others are doing it"..  I am responsible for my actions, and I am responsible for understanding the TOS...

Thanks again to you, Misha, and anyone else who attempted to give us "newbs" a heads up..  Thanks.

Not too pee in your poo, but this thread is promotional and breaks the forum rules... Please refrain from posting threads to promote your hubs. smile

Thank you for posting this Misha. I'm new enough I didn't want to be the first to say it, but if all 15 nominees start doing this every week, it's going to cause a ridiculous clutter.

My impression is that it's okay to post your thank-yous to the staff and other readers in the HubNugget Wannabe thread or hub where your hub was first linked...

Thanks for all the congrats everyone!

Misha and Kelsey: I was told to promote my Hub as much as possible. I was unaware that I could not do so here, so I will definitely refrain in the future. Thanks for the input, and my apologies.

No problem, C. -- now you know the rules (and you were just a little excited). smile

      Congrats on the HubNuggets nod.

Now, what you can definitely do is promote and spread the word about voting on the HubNuggets on the HubNugget Hub that was created for this week's voting:
