    Why does HubPages have that feature where someone's answers are voted down...

    and the minuses outweigh the pluses, they make that person's response hidden? Frequently those responses (answers) are the most interesting or pertinent.  I always look for them and often give them a plus vote.  If previous votes were close -- plus/minus -- my plus vote frequently gets them out of "limbo".  Ha ha.

    I really don't think it matters anyway. It's like "American Idol" where people vote by texting or calling hundreds of time to place their votes. Anyone can go on these questions and continue to run the score up or down. There is no rhyme or reason sometimes.
