   I'm not entirely sure if that is correct.
   
   Squidoo also uses PunBB and the users listed in PunBB have always been far higher than the official number.
   
   If we had 100,000 users I would have expected a lot more active users in the forum.

      That number is the total number of user accounts on HubPages.  There are a lot of inactive users, as evidenced by the fact that there are more than 100,000 users but only about 55,000 published hubs.  Interestingly, fewer than 300 users are responsible for creating more than half of that total.
      
      You can determine the total number of hubs by going to the last page of the hub listings and multiplying the page number by 10.  Of course it may take you a few guesses, or a lot of clicks to zero in on it (the total is growing by about 250-300 hubs a days right now).

   Hi Darkside!! You might be right!! I just know it is the figure at the bottom of the page listed as "Registered Users" and it topped 100,000 today!! Maybe Monday HP will clarify!! In the meantime, I'm still celebrating!! Blessings and smiles!! Earth Angel!!
