Who is making all the money here writing on hubpages? Not me.
From glancing at your Hubs, you seem to be writing a lot about religion, and in the style that's better suited to a blog. Religion is not a high-paying subject and blog-style writing is not what makes a Hub perform as well with the search engines.
Only a few religious wackos are going to read religious drivel. And why would anyone finding your Hubs think the adverts that Google matches to your subjects are worth clicking on?
Hi brother ~ yes, religious topics are not big money-makers because the Google ads may support or contradict what is written. We really have no say (except that we can prevent certain ads from being used). If you have good link words/phrases, however, you can get a lot of reads. You may consider adding amazon products to your hubs. It's for the ministry that we write, and I know your hubs really touch my heart. I've been writing on faith topics for over a year (two profiles) and haven't had my first payout yet. Remember, great is your reward in heaven!! Keep on ministering for our Lord!
All of you that answered my question, thanks. I realized after I ask the question many factors and what you have said matches. I am not writing for traffic and money making. I am writing feelings from the heart and also writing for my own pleasure and to the Glory of God. If I am wacko, then this is Gods will for me and I shall remain faithful and carry the title.
I feel though that I am far from wacko now and that onc upon a time, I may have been a little bit wacko. Thank you, all for answering this question. Seek and ye shall find! Wisdom is out here! Blessings

If making money wasn't an option on HubPages, would you still write for this site...No matter if you make pennies a day or dollars. This question isn't about how much money a hubber makes. I'm just curious how many hubbers would still hub if they weren't earning money for the pub or to get some...

Am I losing money from my writing here on Hubpages?Although my hubs have been badly hit by another Panda or a Penguin update and the earnings from my Hubs are at their lowest in a few years, I cannot say in all honesty that I am losing any money what so ever.I may be earning less now than I have in...

I have just started, so I dont expect it in the near future, but how many hubs, or how many months before you start making money? How much traffic is considered to be good traffic? Right now I am getting about an average of 75 hits per day on 4 hubs. Is that good? What...

I can only speak for myself but I think I've got a case of the Hubpages Spread! What's that you say? The Hubpages spread is the 10 lbs you put on after spending super long hours writing and posting hubs- plus editing old ones. I've developed the baaaaaad habit of scarfing down food while at my work...

I used to be a hubber and I posted how to's and informational hubs, but I got burnt out because it wasn't my niche. I have written one short story now, do you think creative writing is a good way to go on hubpages?
