Google have announced they are launching a service similar to HP. It seems more like HP or Squidoo than Wikipedia.
My fear is that their own pages will out rank other sites like what they do with youtube and blogger.

I quick search has shown that it is very hard to stop copying and scraping of articles - that is up to HP - But it is certainly worth doing and HP should implement it, even if it only stops 50%.
