Okay, some people on here are SNOBBY! I have been trying to contact a few of the High Rated

Writers on this site, and I feel like I'm getting the digital cold shoulder... Has anyone else experienced this kind of weird behavior on here? Maybe it's cause I'm still fairly new?

You say you are getting a cold shoulder when trying to contact people, and yet you have not said why you are trying to contact them or what manner of approach you are using in your emails.

It is possible that the methodology or language you are using is perhaps not working as you expected it to?

relache- Possibly... but it's more fun to think that there is a writer's  elite attitude! wink

I talked to "one of them" and of course I felt intimidated. She respnded quite nicely though. I think that maybe they just don't want noobs in their personal space trying to relate and everything. That's understandable but at the same time they are the ones I want to talk to and not just  the noobs. Ha. I just posted a question related loosely to this and am hoping for resonses that aren't just advice but offer a willingness to help. Maybe that's too much to ask...

    I dunno.

I got snubbed by one, but she or he seems to be a very persnickety type, so it may have been just general irritation rather than snobbishness.

Everyone else has been very nice and for all I can tell, so is that person.  They just were not in the mood to answer my email.

Would you answer email from someone wearing a wig like this? :-)

Yes there certainly are some snobby ones here; but there tends to also be many who are not.  There is clearly a standoffishness when it comes to responding to emails from strangers as there are trolls on the site that are happy to spam your personal email site if given the chance.
When you reply back by email, you disclose your personal address.  Many of us have had that style of problem.  I find the best way to make contact is with fan mail.  But, in that respect; read their hubs first so that your comments are seen to be genine.
However I have left very nice polite messages to one or two so called 'high rankers' who couldn't even muster an arrogant  thanks.  I guess they had a problem with my kiwi directness and funny accent huh?  Overall though, if you treat people the way you wish to be treated yourself; then usually things work.  Good luck.

so do i feel, but stopped thinking about that,as you know every one has his own ways, own circles, own styles of thinking and off course they utilize  their time in more creative things rather than.....

Lack of interaction is not necessarily indication of snobbery.  It is possible that the writer is simply engaged in their own life and posts their hub quickly and then returns to life commitments.  It is also possible that he/she is reserved and is not comfortable with the level of interaction some others welcome.

A high score should not be perceived as indication of a snob.  Just a good hubber!  All you can do is try.  The rest is up to them.

bb:- You have not been getting a digital (or other type of) cold shoulder. There are at least eighteen gazillion writers on Hubpages, each one of us trying to record world-shaking articles. No matter how new or how old you may be on this site, 17 + gazillion writers are going to (1) ignore or (2) never see your various artlcles. My advice to you is to do what the sergeant always admonished us to do - "Keep a cool tool in the motor pool."
Have a fun day (and another one tomorrow!)...

Yes I agree 100%. Well, really only one snob so far, but immediately seems to me that this person does not want new hubbers, and very pushy... it is actually the top person on your answers, or first? idk, but I will not follow that person, and the reason I have " I won't follow Snobocrits" on my profile, lol...I never approached this person, just asked a question, after  I freaked out when I accidentally punched an add on my hub, I was simply trying to copy and paste it to my adsense to remove it, ( it was actually this same person suggestion to do, to moderate your adds) so I did so because of their hub,so I asked what to do, or if I could fix it, then this person freaking bitches me out, acting like I am a fraud...any way, if you run into it, i am sure they preferred Hub pages when It was young and had less competition, but now that it is every where, they are no longer a big fish in a little pond, but a little fish in a big pond...oh boo hoo how sad!!!
