I'm still working on the details but am interested in knowing if people would be willing to participate.
I have already bought a domain name.
Some of the details will be:
A Hub of the week
A Hub of the month
Cash and article submission prizes with cash being paid out of my own pocket into the winners PayPal account.
The winning Hubs and all participating hubs will be listed on the blog I am building through blogger. So I will be building back links for myself and everyone else.
I would be driving traffic to the site via articles. I am quite good at picking good keywords for articles. I have many articles that get between 50 and 60% click thru rate on Ezine and many of the have over 100 000 views with some approaching 500 000 views so you can imagine the traffic.
So, as this is just in the preliminary stages with the right amount of feedback and interest I would have the blog up and running in a couple days.
I am also looking for suggestions from anyone that is interested.
Dale
Are you going to be calling for specific topics like how our Hubnuggets are done? sounds very kewl DM
Im thinking it will be open to any and all hubs with the exception of obvious spam hubs. My plan is to have Hubbers nominate what they think is a Hub worth mentioning. Every Hub that is mentioned will get linked in the blog. Hubbers will not be able to nominate their own hubs though.
By keeping it open to any hub that allows anyone to be eligable.
I would like a link to the site, I probably wouldnt write a hub, but would love to read anything anyone puts up!! you need readers too, right?
You wouldnt have to build specific hybs. Everyone would keep Hubbing like they are doing and Hubbers would nominate other Hubbers Hubs
I would definitely be interested in something like this : ) Keep me posted
An entrepreneur can never think like an employee...
Well done Dale ... Great idea ... I am sure you can capitalize the time you have spend here with this idea.
To me it sounds like a lot of positive reaction so now I will get to work on the details and place them in a hub.
However let me stress this hub will have tentative details and will be open to suggestion. Once I do that then I will make the final Hub and we can all get going on this.
I also want to stress to any skeptics out there this is not to try and sell anything or anything like that. It will be a way to drive traffic to my hubs and your hubs and thats all there is to it.
Dale
Great idea Dale! I always wished HubPages would have something like this, and it is great that you are doing it
Great time for some positive activities like this. You rock times two.
I'm in as well, Dale. Great idea, thanks for the information.
I should start up a blog about hubpages too sometime. I don't know if I would have a contest though.
Ye, I'm in too. Sounds like you have a good idea there!
The interest has me very excited. With this much interest we will really be able to get a blog built and get its rankings quite high.
We will be able to bring a lot more great hubbers to HubPages. I am just getting through some private issues in the next 24 hours but the first hub is already half built so if all goes well we will most likely get officially started on August first.
Im really excited with all the interest.
I will keep everyone posted and hope to have the first draft Hub ready to go by tommorrow night so people can start putting in their opinions and suggestions.
Sorry for bumping this but I think for now its important to keep it hanging around. At least until I get the hub finished for what I will be doing.
Sounds interesting. I'll be watching my email for your hub Dale.
Im not sure I will be able to send a notice in the email because would have to do it seperately for eac person. Will likely be making all communications through Hubs and the forums

I have been hub hopping lately and I am disgusted with the incoherent garbage that I am coming across - nothing but poorly translated articles of about 400 words, usually without even any formatting. I would say that more than half of the articles I randomly encounter are clearly nothing but spun...

I’ve been reading many questions on the forums about how to get more traffic to your hubs. I’m a great believer in testing something, analysing the results, refining and sharing, and I approached the subject of how to get hub views in a practical methodical way. I’ll share my techniques below and...

I just started hubbing and I was wondering if those who had been here a while could let me know what kind of results they have had with the referral program? Has anyone tried running advertisements with their hubpage url anywhere? What kind of results did that get? Thanks!

If you have noticed your traffic decreasing lately on some of your hubs, this Facebook page is copying content from several hubbers and publishing it on their FB page. The Facebook page is called OHealth atwww .facebook .com /pages ...

I got into an interesting discussion on another thread, and thought it would make a good thread itself. The question of the day is how do you feel about other hubbers clicking on an ad in your hubs?Personally I really don't see a problem with it as long as the ad interests them from a good quality...
