someone copied my entire money making hub onto their lame blog. I spent a lot of time working on this hub, it has around 17 pages of content ....

    heres the hub

    http://hubpages.com/hub/HowTooMakeMoneyOnline

    heres the article

    http://articlesonthenet.blogspot.com/

any fast responses are appreciated, I want to go straight to whatever authority website/program I can if their are any that combat against copied content, especially where its a blogspot blog there has to be a way to get it removed/closed.

while it is good to report them and try to get the plagiarized blog removed, I would take it a step further and join that site and EXPOSE THEM, pasting a link in my blog. as a creative and professional writer, people like that DISGUST ME.

Hmm looks like this guy stole some of my hubs as well. I'm not impressed. The blog seems to be just re-posting articles from Hub Pages.

I'm not sure if this is the right time to bring it up, but we are talking about plagiarism and all.

Check out a hubber named LVM. She/he has more than 20 hubs, and lots of fans, and yet a hubberscore of... 1- last time I checked.

      @Anti-Valentine,
You got me on a wrong thread.  I don't practice plagarism.  My hubs contain original content.

I think the reason my hub rank is low because I was guilty of fanning to many people.  I didn't know then that it pulls down your hub rank.

      1. Marisa Wright profile image85
Marisa Wrightposted 14 years agoin reply to this

The most likely reason for a Hubscore that low is that your content isn't original.

"Original" means not published anywhere else.  It doesn't make any difference whether it's your own material that you're copying or someone else's.  So if you're publishing an article on your own blog and also on HubPages, your HubScore will drop like a stone.

Talking of low hubscore one of the hubs I published have gone down to the score of 40 (http://hubpages.com/hub/Why-some-Single … en-reasons) which i think can be because some people have taken offense. I have not copied the content from anywhere.

Mine have been doing that lately, Anamika.  It has nothing to do with your hub, it will slowly climb up.  I promise.  smile

weird anti. And cosette I did comment on the blog and ask for it to be removed + post links to my hub, and I submitted the form to blogger.

The person wasnt even careful enough to remove links they literally copied and pasted so that they copied and pasted the table of contents I add to hubs and if someone clicks it it brings them to my hub ....

If anyone wants to help get this blog taken down please do by all means. This just disgust me. I can't imagine being so immature and ignorant to go around copying and pasting peoples work thinking I could really make money from that and that it was legal.

Sorry to hear that this has happened to you.
It's pretty sad that someone would copy the whole thing and re post it. It just doesn't make sense to me, why take time to look for content and copy and paste it and such just to be reported.

It has to be some lazy " newbie " trying to beat the whole internet industry " system ".

I will take a few minutes and do a write up and submit it for you.

      Good Luck.

      Thanks,
      Jeffrey

thanks alex, I wonder if anyone else on hubpages has had content stolen by that person other than us ?

either way I submitted directly to blogger so there better be some action taken or we will know google and all google related programs are complete bs.

  18. alexd181 profile image60
    alexd181posted 14 years ago

Google usually identifies duplicated content automatically, but if the time stamp difference is small I suppose it may be hard for them to prove who is the originally owner using an automated process. Someone should manually review the site and shut it down. It looks like he has stolen over 20 hubs in total, many of them mine and some of them not, so it looks like he is subscribing to people's RSS feeds here and just re-posting them. It's just really annoying when people don't have any sense of decency about their behavior to even think that it might be wrong.

Contact the person through the Blog and if there is no response within 2-3 days make a complaint to google. That should work.

hey at least you are being honest about it. Thank you or removing it but you have to understand that any articles you copy are going to get you in a looooot of trouble mate. So if you want to have a blog about the best articles you should post like 1/3 of the article than say for the rest visit (add the link)

but even then I would rather none of my articles be posted and thank you very much for coming out and saying so.

You should also remove the material you have on HubPages that's stolen.  For example your Paid to Share Photos.

    Stolen from sarawillhelp.blogspot.com

I think Sara would appreciate that.

  28. Cls1321 profile image59
    Cls1321posted 14 years ago

oh I would have posted that too but copyscape only gave me alex's 3 hubs after mine was removed. Remove ALL copied content considering like 3-4 people reported your blog to Google ... I don't condone stealing content but this is just a heads up I am sure Google will be checking your blog at some point. DMCA is pretty serious on the issue of stealing work.

EDIT: holy hell mate I just looked up your blog again on "copyscape.com" and got 10 more results of copied work. Can you not write your own content ? copying work is illegal and can land you in jail and with a big fat fine o.0

  29. alexd181 profile image60
    alexd181posted 14 years ago

Thanks for removing the posts, but it looks like you are still posting content from other authors now. In the complaint I noted that the work is generally copied from Hub Pages, not just referring to specific articles, so hopefully they will ban the blog altogether for copying content in the first place.

    1. sabrebIade profile image79

One simple way is to type in the first line of your Hub into Google search, then hit search.

I found seven blogs on blogger that were totally scraping my blog content.
Reported them (of course they removed the "flag this" button) but so far neither Blogger nor Adsense has done anything about it.
I did try to contact the authors first, even left comment on the blog.
I even started posting a link back to my blog so that when it was scraped, the hyperlink showed up in the article.

And as far as Google punishing you for duplicate content...why are the scraped blogs on the first and second pages of search right after mine?
