This time it was a 30 hubs in 30 days and you seem to have made that. Did you set a personal goal of 100 in 30?
Wow. I did, like, 14 in four months. I can not type that fast. You must be tired....
Impressive - I've produced one hub in that period. Guess, just not in the mood to write!!
Spelling and grammar suffers a lot when a person goes for quantity rather than quality.
It's things like this that make hub pages look like an amateur site.
Sorry, I have poor grammar and spelling at times. I do not mean to make hupages look bad, I am just not perfect.
agreed.
now might be a good time to take a break from that quest, do a bit more research on your existing articles, and then use either a dictionary, a thesaurus, or spellcheck to your advantage.
this is yet another shining example of just how meaningless the hub scores and author scores really are.
They're telling you how to improve and you throw a tantrum?
Good work!
I don't care how upset people get, spelling and grammar ARE important. Quality writing is needed to keep a site high in those ratings. You earned your money because other people on this site take the time to write quality articles with attention to spelling and grammar. I haven't read your hubs so I don't know what they are like. Most people do not get nasty about it but they are entitled to their opinions.
Nice flounce post by the way...
already gone, xquisit1985? we hardly knew ye.
nevertheless, thanks for the validation.
wt?
oh a little drama to get traffic for his site ...
elvis has left the building already I guess
Yea I read darksides post ,but not the guys original post..
maybe he will back on under another account, like so many do
Gosh its like musical chairs
Been asking the same Q. Trying to work out where it started.
hi lady_e, it started with his original comment - see galleryofgrace's reply. things started going downhill shortly thereafter when i threw in my two copper-coated brass cents' worth - see darkside's reply.
the last anyone has heard or seen of him is when a giant fur ball of ruffled feathers was spotted heading toward the badlands of new mexico. i hope he's packing some water.
He's still here. I just checked his profile.
Maybe there will be a market for people who don't care about spelling and grammar. There is a segment of the population who thinks that spelling "You" as "u" is perfectly normal. It's bound to creep into the general scheme of things much like "dougnut" has become "donut" in many places.
Yes Nelle I quite often find myself staring at spellcheck twice and then relising, how many bad spelling habits I had picked up.
I before E except after C.....boy am I old
I never respond to them on fum threads. If they can't be bothered to write in a way that makes it easy for me to read, I can't be bothered to read it.
And I think you meant, "doughnut."
"dougnut" - you quite sure about that? Better check with Doug!
EDIT - sorry, I've just noticed it was noticed before!
Hey, we all make mistakes. I know I do, all the time. But I do try to do my best
Does spellcheck use Webster or Oxford Dictionary?
( any excuse is good for me) hehe
"Wise men say only fools rush in..."
who was that humming in the hallway ?
If a person can do 50 hubs in 14 days, good for them. But invest another 7 to 14... hours in doing a spell check and adding a photo for each hub.
Very sensitive person. Or should I say, very defensive person? Thanks for posting his response Brenda .

Do you think Hubpages should take a harder stance to poorly written hubs?I hop hubs when I can, and find so many that are of poor quality. They have little to no content, or just one long text block. Don't get me started about the spelling or grammar.Should HP take more of a harder...

I think HubPages is just a terrific opportunity for writers to write and make connections within the HubPages community. However, I am concerned about the quality of some of the hubs I see. Even if the writing is fresh and lively, if the spelling, punctuation, or grammar are poor, then...

Why do some hubs get a score of 100 even though they have spelling and grammar mistakes?I know a hub can be good without having a score of 100, but I can't help noticing spelling and grammar errors in some of them. I have even found this to be true when browsing the "best" section.

Hi Hubbers,I'd like some help with passing the Quality Assessment Process. Will you please give feedback on my article For Honor the most intense medieval experience in your consoles (must be signed in to view). What can I do to improve? Thanks!

When commenting on other Hubbers articles, do you point out spelling and grammar errors?

Why don't people check their spelling and grammar when they write and publish their Hubs?It is understandable when the person is not a native English speaker, but when the author is a native English speaker with some amount of education, it is quite sad.
