Mighty Mom suggested that I start a hub about being an unemployed spouse.

My husband went one step further and suggested I start a new blog for Unemployed spouses as sort of a support blog.

I did a keyword search on unemployed spouses, displaced spouses and there is nothing.  So I am asking if anyone here would have a good idea.  Unemployment is a great keyword...just trying to figure out how to name the blog & Hub so its searched.

    Thanks my hubber buds! smile

    Thanks Helen!

I figured out my hub title.  The blog is still not coming to me.

Some of my ideas for the blog are:

    Unemployment: Support for Spouses
Support for Spouses of Displaced Workers
    Unemployment: Network group for Spouses

I suggest you start writing the hub and publish it with an interim title.  You can change the title anytime.

This is not good advice. Once you save your hub the first time the URL is fixed permanently. This will directly affect your search engine results. Think long and hard about your hub title. It is extremely important

Why not sound positive. Take for instance, the title of one of my hubs - The Brighter Side of Unemployment! smile
    Best Regards

If you're trying to start a support group, you're headed in the right direction. If you're trying to get to people who want to join a support group....um.....well....

Your best shot is "unemployed spouse" (notice the singular).

The plural of louse is lice so should the plural of spouse be spice?

      Sorry, went off topic there.

I'm not entirely sure what you mean, are you saying you are married and unemployed or that you are married and your partner is unemployed? I think it would be hard to come up with a gender neutral keyword as I would assume they would search 'unemployed husband' or 'unemployed wife'. How about 'unemployed and married' or  'married and out of work'?

Unemployed spice? A bit specific as it would only apply to Victoria Beckham...

    Sorry!
