I think hubpages may become a Monday-Friday hobby for me, things are so bleeding slow at weekends on here!

Its not just the search engine traffic either, its the lack of comments, the lack of hubs published, a slow forum, this whole place dies!

Does anybody else get a bit demoralised or even bored at the weekend on here?

      LOL

What you need is a life outside of hubpages. The only reason I am here over the weekend is because I stopped smoking 10 days ago and dare not go near a bar. lol

Thanks for the link by the way. smile

No worries it's the least I could do for cheering me up that day wink Theres some more old uni notes for me to publish, so I will probably do you another couple of those backlinks..... no reader wants old news, so its all good pointing them in the right direction.

As for smoking, I am a smoker myself..... and I know exactly how you are feeling. I have been trying to pluck up the courage for another crack at quitting. I managed 3 weeks once.

Good luck with that. They say that the 3rd week is the hardest, so get yourself to week 4 and you will be home and dry wink

Good stuff, always taking the positives out of not too pleasant situations I see wink

I will have to check that site out at some stage, probably in the winter..... when I seem to develop that a smokers cough (which at 24 isn't too encouraging).

Anyway, believe it or not..... I have something to do in the 'real world' now!

            Laters.

Mark, are you going to write a hub on quitting.  I've tried so many times, seems the only thing that ever really worked was being pregnant -- now that won't work for guys and I'm too old to go down that road again.  And I need to quit.  I don't want to facing another freaking cold winter outside just to have a smoke.

I generally don't go on the internet over the weekend.  I just happen to be unusually bored right now.

It might be because people like to spend weekends outdoors. Its going to change in winters when everyone stays in. smile

Thats the hope wink and is the reason why I am still churning out the hubs at 2 or 3 per day wink

I do, I feel like I am the only one on here when I sign on on the weekends.

I notice there are periods when it takes 5-10 minutes for a new post to show up in forum. These are the times I can't believe what I see. And don't come back at me this is impossible. It happened.

I have seen it even longer than that Pacal, I think 14 minutes the longest I have ever seen - and that was a weekend wink

At busy times, the posts at the very bottom can be less than 14 minutes old!

I hope too many of you don't all quit smoking at the same time.  The politics forum will be meaner than ever.   smile

I just spent 6 hours researching and writing a hub on a saturday. I now need a nap. And chocolate.

The discussion started out with "Traffic is so slow here on the weekends that it's making me nuts." It developed into a mutual support group for smokers trying to quit. Makes the problem of slow hub traffic look like chump change.
I'm not a smoker but I appreciate watching how smokers are empathizing with each other...it's like a family around here.

I am one of the people who take the weekend off from HP since I spend five continuous days hubbing... Weekend is my rest.

I'm using my weekends to work on other projects between checking forums.

Not sure how much traffic is around but with other sites I have learned that the weekend just doesn't pull enough right now, so I am trying to get ahead on some of these other things I have started.

Mark good luck on the smoking. I recently quit only to go back to it. Gonna take some time.

Def slow on the weekends...at late at night (that's EST around here in Canada).  I'm lucky to see one peep out there late at night!  All the action seems to take place during the day and the week day.
