First I'd like to thank all the hard working staff that have worked to resolve this past weekend's little drama with DocStoc, and the malicious copy bandit. That said is it me or is Hubpages getting a little serious in tone, I came here to write make money, and hopefully date a hollywood starlet. Feeling better about life too, would be nice, lately though it seems like war has been declared, we have the Conservatives, and liberals, facing off (and constantly changing definitions) Then on the other ring we have the religionists and the others, as I won't say non believers. Is this what the world has come to arguing, insults, hate and the negativity. Oh yeah and apparently the world is about to end so we should all take a jab while we still can, instead of using these last days to live full lives. Comments questions anyone? Geez lighten up people is life that horrible really?

Friendly debate is good....... just remember - 7 years of studying the art of debate you may become a "Master Debator."

I missed the drama...I was out enjoying life wink

I agree with you, as always! Most of my forums posts and my newest hubs talk about controversial issues, but I always manage to find ways to be RESPECTFUL. There is NO REASON TO ARGUE ABOUT OPINIONS!

I agree that across the forums people could stand to lighten up a little.  Still, I don't really think it's such a bad thing for there to be "contentious debate" in things like religion and politics.  There's a difference, though, between "contentious debate" and "vicious attacking".  Debate is interesting.  Attacking is boring and negative, to say the least.

My nonfiction book about life coaching is done I need to edit it and and decide to ebook it or self publish, I've started a fiction work that I'm trying to get published over in England, that is going along well.

I'm a terrible debater, I won't stick my nose into the religion forum anymore, and I'm not politically correct, so that leaves out the top 10 forum posts of the day smile

Some try to make it fun and enjoyable...but within 10 -15 posts its buried.

Drama is fun once in awhile, but it was getting a wee bit thick.

I'm not really meeting anyone here on the forum, mostly because I don't debate and won't try to defend my belief system.
