Hey kiddos, after a grueling two weeks which included a proper dose of wallowing and self pity, I've decided to suck air, kick butt and enjoy Friday. I also wanted you to know that intimidated I was when I first started here, and how remarkably welcomed I have felt by all of you. Just want to rub my troll doll's hair all over each you to give you a warm and fuzzy. (Okay, I know that's weird, but it's a vivid visual...)

So what are you doing tonight/over the weekend?

I'm going to hit a movie, enjoy getting together with friends, maybe host a big breakfast, and start writing music to our very own Aya Katz's lyrics. We have agreed to begin collaborating together. She is SUCH A GIFTED WRITER!! (Fan her if you haven't.) LOL

    So, what are ya'all doing?

Daniel - awesome to see you in such a positive mood. I am kickin' it myself with a glass of Pastis and wallowing in the pain of my 7th week without smoking - after 36 years I finally decided to quit.

Have a great weekend and don't do anything I wouldn't do (which gives you a LOT of options).

Glad you're feeling happier; but I hope you don't live anywhere near Massachusetts, where they're looking for a guy who tried to pick up a kid from the bus stop; and who has a troll doll hanging from his mirror.   (If you live anywhere near New England you may not want to mention troll dolls for a few months.   lol )  (Of course, I happen to have an orange-haired one standing in one of my kitchen cabinets, greeting anyone who reaches for the Tupperware.)

No keep the tickly troll hair away from me!!! lmao Hey daniel, you ever need to rant and rave about anything, give me a holler. I am a great lsitener who may be young at heart but my friends tell me I am wise beyond my years...weird huh? lol

N-e-ways today I will be riding the train down to Poway to my parents so that I can dog sit and hosue sit while they are gone from Sunday to Saturday to a wedding and visiting family up the coast. Saturday I am going to be going to a bonfire, Sunday a potluck, and going to visit my old friends at the very first Preschool I wored at. (love visiting them even if I do have to get up early lol) and then no idea for the rest of the week. OH Thursday going hiking with one of my BFFs and go get Greek Food at a place called Pegasus' Cafe. then Friday my hubby is driving down and meeting him with two other friends at San Juan Capistrano. then Saturday going to a Harvest Festical with the same friends from Friday. Then drive back up to Anaheim Sunday... smile Busy busy busy.

@crazd: I really don't even have a troll doll. Nor did I ever. It's just the visual, ya know.... Girl, you are bizzy, bizzy, bizzy! Hope you have tons of fun.

@mark: Sorry for your recent down turn with all the pirating and google logistics. Hopefully we'll recover soon. Now as for this smoking thing--CONGRATS! This is huge, considering you've been at it more than a fortnight! It's wicked stuff to stop. I watched my dad and grandfather stop more than once, but they beat it in the end.

@poppablues: I miss date nights, although there may be a few of those in my future. We'll see. I'm treading ever so lightly about the subject.... Hope yours is wonderful.

@MsChievous: My 25 yo daughter is so excited to go see this movie. I think I might join in on that one. Looks like a bad psychadelic trip from the 60's! LOL I think I read also that it's a pretty big adventure for littler kids, and it may be scarey for them.

@dejajolie: Girl, I don't know, but I'm having doubts about you needing to go to some salon. However, I'm sure your weekend will be fab, and hoping all good things for you and your man.

@rebekahELLE: Apocolyptica! I've debated about seeing it because it seems overly gory. (Thanks, Mel Gibson....) But have been fascinated about the whole story. I may check it out.

I've lost the ability to enjoy Fridays since I'm unemployed and one day just seems much like the next.

I've had an interesting day (not particularly exciting though). Took one of my Nans out shopping and then she took me to lunch. Then came home, did some ironing (i suck at ironing) and then took my other nan out to her niece's for dinner. Tomorrow I am going out with my friend to see a film and then we're going out to dinner and going clubbing. Girls night out!! Then Sunday my parents are coming home from holiday so I have to make some lunch for them and spend some time with them. Fun times.

I wish I could find someone to write music for my lyrics. Actually, if I'm wishing for things I wish I could write music for my lyrics, but every time I pick up a guitar I go blank!

Um, so jen, I heard (okay I READ) that! (You being a lyricist.) Should I expect an email? I'm too old to be a rocker, but I have rocker/songwriter kids who are in a band together. But then, I may be putting the cart before the horse. Don't know what your style is. [checks email.] Nope. Not yet.

Have a wonderful time with fam and friends. Once you find a job, it's all over, hun. Mostly a slave to the 9 to 5 machine, or worse.

It's ok when guys say 'hun' I don't know why. I don't mind as much. I have hubs with lyrics in (I refer to them as poems since they are musicless). The one called 'My Deadly Sin' is the only one I really care about. Ye, I want it to be kinda rocky (Nickelback kinda style) and it's written for a guy to sing (I can't sing) big_smile

I love that it is Friday!! This week was busy but good, I did well on both my Organic Chemistry and Genetics tests!  I usually don't have a "weekend" because I work two jobs and study Saturday and Sunday. But luckily I have tonight off! My boyfriend and I are going out for beers and pizza then maybe to a movie. And for the first weekend all semester I'm going to the beach Saturday and Sunday. smile Have a great weekend everyone!

    What a nice post!

Its finally Friday, eh?  Plans for weekend, with warm weather coming back we need to get out and finish our fall yard work and dig up the garden.

We are doing a craft show with my husbands vases next weekend, and he has made some hand made wood jewelry, so I need to get those pieces sanded down, finished and make them into actual earrings and necklaces.

I have at least 5 articles to finish and more in my head that I need to get down on paper - so I'll do that when & if I have any alone time this weekend.

@Mark, I wish I had your will power, great job!

Hope you all have a wonderful weekend!  Stay healthy smile

It's Saturday here but I love reading about how people plan to celebrate their Fridays and week-ends. I plan to do some work, write some hub and attend a luncheon meeting.

@mark, congrats on your 7th week. If I decided to stop smoking, can I make you my unofficial model? smile
