Finally got Bill home from the hospital. They took his gallbladder out and found ulcers in his stomach, which he is now being treated for. We were both laughing because we never thought we'd be GLAD to find out he had ulcers, but compared to the other choices that was great news. He'll be home for a couple of weeks recuperating from the surgery and the other problems.

The day I brought him home I started feeling sick and by Tuesday morning I had a rip snorting case of Swine flu. It's not the Plague, but don't let anyone tell you it's no big deal either. He refused to shoot me so I am still here and my fever just broke today.

God, that was a lot of drama for one month.

I hope that's the end of it. Thanks for all the good wishes. smile

Well...I'm glad he's home from the hospital and you know what it was. Sorry you got swine flu. It seems that everyone I know who went to a doctor or a hospital came home with swine flu.

It's great news that you got Bill home and they were able to find out it's ulcers.  On the whole scheme of things, yup that's not so bad.

Sorry to hear that you got swine flu, but glad that you're over it. From what I hear it's not pleasant.

    Ah-choo!!! Uh oh.

Yes! While I was at the hospital sitting with him I saw people with Swine flu everywhere. The reason I knew they had Swine flu is there were signs all over that if you had Swine flu you had to wear a surgical mask, and it seemed like every third person had a surgical mask and looked miserable. I thought then, oh crap, I bet I get this damned bug now.

He got a vaccine today since he's kind of high risk now with his other problems. Lots of schools are closed here. It's kind of sweeping through Michigan just this week.

It sounds like Michigan got it bad.  I guess I won't be visiting Michigan any time soon!

    Thanks guys. smile

Actually Michigan was one of the last states to get hit. Three days of it and my fever finally broke this afternoon. I'm wiped, but I do feel like the worst is over.

Glad you ar recovering (We wish the same for Michigan-- but that may take longer.) I'm sure you have lots of stories just busting from your formerly fevered brain.

Glad to hear that you are both OK.  I was getting worried when you didn't update how he was doing.  Take care after the swine flu here, Bill had it and he started feeling better and ended up sicker than sick after seemingly recovering.  Get better soon.

Wow. What voodoo doll was stashed in your purse, girl?!
Just glad that you are all pulling through it. So sorry that it all happened.

We're getting escalating cases here in the west, too. No schools closing, but lots of sports activities cancelled. It seems that if you can avoid schools and medical facilities, your chances are reduced of getting this crap. But I think that's only up until about noon tomorrow, the way it appears.

Just glad the fever broke and that you guys appear to be on the mend.

    kindest regards Zsuzsy
