Ask for input, or ask specific questions. Or leave a lot of comments on other people's Hubs, that's worked for me.
Hub hop daily and leave comments on hubs. I'm pretty sure that is the only criteria. Comment, comment, comment.
There is only one way to increase your commenter level. By commenting on other people's hubs. The more and faster you comment. the more and faster your level will increase. It helps if you comment on things you like obviously and there is no shortage of great content to comment on.
I just commented on the things I liked reading and really didn't pay any attention to the level I was at. As it meant nothing to me. It still doesn't.
I know it means a lot to some people but as long as you are honest and enjoy what you are reading and commenting on. Forget about the level you are on. It really is irrelevant,
Possibly by asking a question about commenting. It got me to comment.
Asking questions, comment on question asked, as well as commenting on other hubs and in hub hopping will help, also the value of your hub topics and relevance.
Write more quality hubs, provide useful answer. I believe these should be the correct way going forward. I don't think increase your commenter level by simply giving non-quality feedback to others is a good way.

I've been a level VIII commenter for well over a year. Today, I noticed I've been reduced to level VII, yet I comment on several hubs every single day. Has anyone else experienced this? Does anyone know why my level may have been reduced?

This is strange. I was a level 3 commenter and have been commenting a lot in the last week, hopefully considered quality comments, but I went down to a level 2 commenter today. Does anyone know if Hubpages changed their commenting rules? I find this frustrating.

I love the new look of the hubs. The share buttons are in the right place (as evidenced by other popular blogs/site). My Hub Score has even gone up, although my Hubber Score continues to oscillate. What I don't understand is my commenter level has gone down. To be honest (and this is detrimental to...

An Accolade is an award for an achievement. But Commenter Level isn't an award for achievement - it's just a measure of your commenting activity at that point in time. In that sense, it's more like Hubber Score. The trouble is that people think it is an award for achievement...

I used to be a level 4 commenter. Suddenly, became a level 1. Interesting!
