Is there anyone who makes a decent living from writing on HubPages?

I don't want to know amounts or anything like that I just want to know if there are writers who make a living from writing on HubPages. When I say a decent living I mean they don't have to supplement it by working on other sites etc. It would be interesting to know the number of hubs which have to be published to achieve self sufficiency too.

I have been on hubpages for about 7 months now and have wrote 16 hubs but my earnings are awful.
I sometimes wonder if the success stories are true at all. I don't know how someone could be earning in excess of $1,000 a month.

I haven't heard any convincing success stories and that's why I asked the question.

I don't really see how you can earn more than $100 a month on HubPages.  That is, if you are accepted for Apprenticeship.  If you aren't, you don't really make anything.  I have not applied for Apprenticeship yet, as I hear that there are certain requirements to be accepted.  So, I don't really make anything on HubPages.

Do you know how the apprenticeship works and why getting accepted would get your more earnings?

If you are accepted, you earn a little over $6 per hub written, and you have to write at least 8 hubs per month, so that is at least about $48 a month, which is better than we're making right now.

I have been on HP since October.  I have over 90 hubs .  In all that time I have earned approx $4.00, However you need to make large amounts before they will release any money earned.   I know for a fact that about 4-5 items have been purchased from the Amazon ads on my hubs but nothing has been credited to me for those purchases.

I tend to believe we have to do this for our own pleasure of writing and know there will be no pay to speak of through our efforts.

    Perhaps I am wrong!

Do you have an Amazon account?  If so, you should have been paid for the items that were bought.  It is possible to make money, if you are accepted for Apprenticeship.  Have you ever tried it?

Yes, I have an Amazon acct.  You have to be careful to fill out all the right spots and finally the last item bought showed up but never shows as having been shipped or delivered, yet I know it has been.

I don't understand why they are trying to cheat you out of your money.

Wow! Bettyoverstreet10.. Your earning capacity is too slow and low. I have been here for over 4 months now and just published 10 articles in the last three days, so let's say I had 21 hubs for these 4 months with about $11 already. Take advantage of

A fellow hubber, Aurelio Locsin who goes by the name Alocsin has written a couple of fascinating hubs on high earning hubbers along with names and numbers. see http://alocsin.hubpages.com/hub/The-Hig … -1-Basics. One hubber, Marye Audet earns $3,800 per month.

There are many success stories. I tried searching for my name but I could not find it. I am trying to make my untold story as "Success Story".

Not I. But I would LOVE to one day. I think that this isn't even an option for me until I post about another 300-500 articles. I'm a looooong way from that!

I believe with time, I would be able to. With 21 published hubs and just 4 months here, I already have a total of about $11.. With more efforts and dedication, I'm sure I can reach where I can live decently on hubpages, let's say by the end of next year,
