I am working on a 8 part series listing the top 200 new hubbers for 2009. Your input is necessary I already have quite a few but need your assistance with who you the community should nominate as one of the top 200 for 2009. From 200 to number 1. I will calculate the votes and list them accordingly, tell me why you would nominate them for the top 200.
1. You can choose anyone they do not have to include anyone in the forums.
2. They have to have joined in the last 12 months
3. Tell us why they were chosen if you can
4. Read as much as you can there are so many out there we don't want to miss the top 200.
Deadline the entire series will be completed by Dec. 28, 2009.
FYI: Update yes you can nominate yourself but only once :::::
Lastly have fun choosing them and yes you can e-mail me , it can be a secret!
Those are wonderful! I noted them on the spreadsheet I believe Misty has been here 2 years it is for new hubbers just like yourself. But seemingly since I am also getting some senior hubbers as nominatiions that will be a different hub.
Well I guess I'll be the first to nominate here - I nominate Nelle Hoxie. She is an ispiration to many hubbers. I call her my mentor because she has taught me so much. She has a wealth of knowledge and is very open and generous in sharing that knowledge with others and she is a super nice person!
There are a few hubbers who write hubs in a streak, and then they are out in the world making a significant difference. I've noted this from time to time, and I think that is also one of the keys--living a life beyond cyberspace that's balanced, full, and bringing good stuff everywhere they go.
And, for what it's worth, I can think of several in this category. I'll email you, AE just as soon as I can catch my breath. I've been working on music deadlines for over a month (and it's been great). (And no, I don't consider myself one of those candidates...)
I certainly do but I am going to enjoy this one and it is going to be hard! I have set up a seperate file folder on my e-mail I have also set up an excel spreadsheet so that I can work the numbers but they should be commended and since all of us love HP so much I figured this one is going to be an abundance of fun!
I'll be sending you...via e-mail...a few great (New-ish-2009) hubbers names too, AE...after I give it some thinkin' on the matter! Got'ta agree with the others...sounds like you picked one heck of a project...
AAHHH it is going to be fun and I have spreadsheets with names 'Thank God' for excel! lololo I have also save all of the e-mails to cross reference and have them filed accordingly. Yes it is going to be a project but it is certainly going to be fun.
AE - this posting and your taking this great endeavor on is exactly what make the Hub community so special. So many great Hubbers here! This is certainly not going to be an easy task and I applaud you for doing this. . I am making my list to send you !
That is wonderful I have been adding them as they come and I have a spreadsheet too! All e-mails have been archived for cross reference and the first group 200-175 come out on the 15th so be looking for it.
I am glad to and there are some that I now know about that I did not know before so I am certain that there will be some new ones that everyone can appreciate, of course I cannot tell anyone who they are or it would not be a secret. lololo
There is nothing like waking up in the morning , having a cup of coffee and tallying votes adding more wonderful hubbers to the list now this is the best Christmas a person can ask for! Number 200-175 will be out on the 15th so I am excited! Keep checking for your favorites there are 8 parts listing all 200 on one hub would be insane, lololoo Thank you for the e-mail and the votes!
Just to let you know that I like this idea because as a newbie, this will be a great way to somewhat get a better idea of who to read! Well, at least who to read first. Can hardly wait to see not only who wins, but what wins.
I have added everyone that people have nominated including names that were attached to this thread, if you are nominating hubbers please send them to me via-email so that I can keep them all organized and keep all votes tallied and accurate, I don't want to miss anyone! I am excited about the first unveiling on the 15th so please keep them coming, I am still looking for 69 more newbies so start reading! Thank you again Julianna.
I went to the great Hubbers of 90+ and got told I was no good and evil.So I have come to this place to be washed and cleansed before I show my face in the great 'hubasphere' once more. Please come to my rescue I have only publish 106 hubs and my highest HS was 88 or 89 but now I am at 25 and...
Okay this is great! I downloaded it this morning, and it's really working wonderfully. We all know Edweirdo, a very clever and useful hubber who created the HubDefender tool for us all which detects hub-theft and assists in dealing with it. Edweirdo has also written many helpful tutorial hubs on...
I’ve been reading many questions on the forums about how to get more traffic to your hubs. I’m a great believer in testing something, analysing the results, refining and sharing, and I approached the subject of how to get hub views in a practical methodical way. I’ll share my techniques below and...
These are the people who are very supportive of other people's work or who have great ideas and are always willing to share them to make hubpages into a better community. These are the people hubpages should give some extra money to because they make a real difference in the community. I...
This forum has no ongoing moderation, so people are likely to emerge into passive-aggressive banter, or attack or defense mode. Without intervention these behaviors are rather common, if not typical to the human being.
In the past many Hubbers, including myself, have seen the "Report a Problem" or "Need Help" threads as a way to either get a policy explained, or as a way to escalate an urgent problem when emails weren't eliciting a response. It is now obvious that is no longer the case,...
