    What floats your boat?

What is it that keeps your going every day, even if amid stress and frustrations?

You know, Alastar, you are one of the joys that keeps my boat afloat. You always bring a smile to my face and warmth to my heart. You encourage, motivate and inspire me - you are a good friend.

I smile and look up, even when everything else is down. I watch the birds and other things in nature. I think about the positive things in life. I hope for sun over rain.

It always helps to keep looking up and be aware of the beauty of Nature. Thanks, Kevin.

I am happy, Kevin, thank you. I gave up worries long ago, for worrying never accomplishes anything.

Just read Biilybuc's latest essay, about the old man and the drifter. Being able to leave a "Thank you" in the comments... makes be happy! Floats my boat! Simple, but it works! ;-)

    Love, my Sweet Phyllis.

I've answered so many questions and in so many ways! I have written a lot and expressed the same idea in so many ways! I've seen people saying the same thing and not know that they are saying it in so many ways! Shall I go on?

My float is this epitome of beauty which takes my Soul lovingly, and caresses it in sleep, nudges it in the morning to remember Gratitude, and guides it - like an Inner Pilot - through every second of the day. I see no dichotomy. Moreover, everyone and everything blends and continue to sing in different ways, the song of Love Supreme.

    Hari Om Tat Sat!!

Writing. The lovely children at the school I teach at. The fact that the opposite of carrying on is suicide, and that's not an option. By the way, I love that picture you posted of the camel and the child. How cute! May I have the source?

Hi poppyr and thanks for contributing with your thoughts. I have had that picture in my image folder for at least a year and no longer have the link, but I do know I got it off Bing free images.

Stress? Frustration? Unh, unh--don't do 'em. As to "what floats my boat," I'd have to say just about everything--fresh green salads, quilting, singing, Violet Flame, walks in the sunshine, feeding the ducks, and helping people on Hub Pages!
