Good for you. Its a toughie, but if you give it time, you'll feel so much better. I only smoked in college, but I got hooked fast... went (in one year) from never having smoked to smoking a pack or 2 a day. Since I stopped, my health has definitely improved, and I just feel better in general. Its been years, and I still occassionaly want one, but then I remember all the coughing and sinus infections and general nastiness, and the moment passes quickly!

As for New Years. I have to work really early the next morning, so we'll probably have an "early" New Year's with the kids... we let them march around the kitchen banging pots and pans. Then maybe have a few snacks or a glass of wine with the hubby and head to bed somewhere around New Year in London (I'm EST).
