Something really weird...

   Something strange is going on with my HP account - actually, several things. For one, I got an email from one of my favorite hubbers asking why I had de-fanned her! I have NEVER de-fanned anyone!! Then, about the same time, I got an email from a guy who said I had sent him an invitation to join HP. I don't know this guy and have never sent anyone an invitation to join HP. Is there even such an invitation?? Also, what the heck has happened to my HP income? In Sept, Oct, and Nov, I was doing well. Since Dec. 1st, my earnings have tanked, even though I have WAY more hubs now! What gives?? Any ideas?? Thanks!

      any time i see something strange, like settings change that i don't remember changing, i change my password.
      
      as far as income going down, mine is down too, but that is just because everybody spent a lot of money in December. i did pretty well up until a week ago, and i remember reading in the forum not to expect a lot of earnings in January.

      People don't get notified when someone chooses to leave their fan list.
      
      And the invite guy sounds like a fishing-spam expedition.

        Change your password! Honestly sometimes the fans fall off, I have found that a follower has been there and I have accepted there comment and then it will ask me 5 months later if I wish to accept or deny them again. I have fanned others then I go back to read and I have to fan them over again too. As for the income I do not know.

      They're just emails - some spammer has obviously thought up a couple of new angles, and has used the "Contact" button on your profile.  That's nothing to worry about, it's just irritating - unless of course your replied, which would've revealed your email address?
      
      
      
      That's a strange one, but I doubt very much that it's connected with the emails.  Have you looked at your Google Analytics to see if you can get some clue?  I know there is such a thing as being "sandboxed" by Google, I saw Mark Knowles complaining about it on another thread - basically you fall out of favour for some reason. Check your Adsense account for any other sites that may be using your ID.

         Lol Misha yes that sounds easy enough but how do you tell if you have more than one, I lost three the other day, obviously my straight forward comments have upset some-one, but my motto is you can love or loathe me, because I am who I am, I say what I feel and I'm still smiling.

   Habee, Your earnings started to fall on Dec 1? That doesn't make a lot of sense. I understand a fall off nearer Christmas like 12/20.
   
   What does your traffic look like? Is it holding steady or tanking as well? What's your definition of tanking - off 10% or off 85%?

   Nelle, it looks like my traffic has decreased by about 25%, and that's with a large increase in the number of hubs!
   
   And yes, it all began on Dec. 1st! I didn't even make payout for Dec!

    My traffic AND earnings tanked considerably in December. I wonder why myself. Dropped like 75%. Wierd and upsetting.
