   Didn't even notice until a hubber Seanraj told me he was happy to be my 1000th fan...thank you guys I even got a medal an'everthing
   
   
   I probably lost someone on the way toaday too because she sent me two emails telling me she had become my fan and I should become hers too... I don't go for that so I probably lost her... ces la vie. Thanks Cagsil for becoming my 1000th so I do not have to return my super shiny medal to hubpages

      Some people are so persistently uncouth.  I had one person fan me by promoting herself as my fan mail.  So I left the fan mail unapproved for about a week. Needless to say she de-fanned me. Oh well!

       Thank you Aware, I try to read a lot of the hubs however I do not leave comments as often as I used to. Also out of the 1000 fans there are quite a few that are MIA and do not write anymore or are just on hiatus.

       Reading other people's Hubs, especially those of fans, would only matter if you have an interest in what they themselves write. Just because someone fans you, doesn't mean you have to read their stuff. They fanned you, because they like your writing.
       
       I thought that is what it means to be a fan of someone's writing. If I am mistaken, please do tell.
       
       Btw- I do visit some of my fans Hubs. I have similar interests as those who read my writing. I'm always glad when I learn something new from one of them and I am grateful for the knowledge.
       
       I don't get to as many as I would like, but then again, I don't read everyone's Hubs, who fanned me either. They found something in my writing, which is why they fanned me.
