Hi Hubbers,
I'd like some help with passing the Quality Assessment Process. Will you please give feedback on my article My Vegetable Side Dishes that Help Me Eat Less Rice. What can I do to improve? Thanks!
You've created an informative article. I enjoyed learning about the vegetables and I loved the table. I can see that you put a lot of effort into the article. Some of your photos look blurred, though. In addition, it might be better to separate photos from one another with some text instead of putting them in a column, especially when you have three photos in a row. It also seems repetitive to give a photo a subtitle as well as a caption and then to use the same subtitle for the following text capsule. You've done this in some cases.
I also noticed some English errors in the article. The second text capsule should start with a sentence instead of a continuation of the subtitle, which ends with a question mark.
Hi AliciaC,
I really appreciate your comment I will try to edit it again...thanks for making me realized that...
Hi I have not seen you here in a while. I hope your dog is still doing okay. My Pitbull is entering her senior years and I remember your dog was several years older so if he is still okay you must be facing a lot of geriatric problems. I wish you both the best.
As far as your article goes, I would change the title. No one who reads the internet is really interested in you, they want to know what is going to help them. How about "Vegetable side dishes that will help you eat less carbs" or something like that? (In the US they do not eat much rice and since most of your page views are probably from there I think carbs is better than rice in the title.)
Those rice pictures could be put into one capsule and displayed as a thumbnail. If your pictures are all displayed that large it is going to slow down your page load time. It will lead to Goolge placing your page in a worse position since it loads slow.
I think the same thing is true on the veggies further down the page. Give okra one capsule, cabbage on capsule, etc. If you have numerous photos of each dish then put the best one first and add the others as thumbnails.
I would try to highlight the weight loss potential of using the veggies instead of the carbs.
I cannot comment on the English errors. I always find that it helps me to have someone else to read the article, and it also helps to read the article out loud.
Hi DrMark,
I have always been here but not posting as often as before, and was quite busy preparing some hubs so they can be accepted at the network site. About my dog, I know you are referring to Peso, I am sad to to tell you that he died last June 2016 a month before his 16th birthday... Old age related concerns... I am still not over him and a lot of people like you still look for him up to now. When I go to market or stranger approached me looking for him like where is your big dog... When I walked my other dogs, one will stop just to ask me about him, it always breaks my heart to tell those who asked that he died but I am happy because a lot of people most of them strangers know my dog. My story about his ailment is already at the pethelpful...
Going back to my article, I really don't know how to do the thumb nail. But I tried to exclude photos that are quite blurred and added or will try to add text to some with 2 photos. I mean I have 2 capsules for each veggies, the photo capsule and the text. Will it be alright to post one picture for each veggies?
Is it ok if I change my title according to your suggestion?
Sorry to hear about Peso. I know it does not help much but 16 is a great life span for any dog. I hope every day that my Pitbull will make it to 15, which is the upper end of the average life expectancy for her breed.
To use the thumbnail funtion, just open up the capsule and add as many photos as you want. Then there is a little box at the top that you can change to "Thumbnail" or "Border". Some of my dog selection articles had 15 or more photos so the editors changed them to thumbnails so that they would load faster.
Dr.Mark thank you so much I am taking note of the suggestions and I am trying to apply one by one. I wish you good luck with your dog, I will pray that your dear dog will reach 15 and even more.
I wanted to help, but it looks like you've been given a number of really great suggestions already. Good luck! I wish you the best.
thank you so much i am going to ask for more help in the future please help me
