    Hi Hubbers,

I'd like some help with passing the Quality Assessment Process. Will you please give feedback on my article Animals: Our Best Friends (must be signed in to view). What can I do to improve? Thanks!

      Hi Maleeha,

You've tried really hard with this, but it's not quite right. You've tried to cover too much in a very short article. From animals as food, to guard dogs, to insects.

The English saying, 'a friend in need is a friend indeed' doesn't work with guard dogs somehow smile

My suggestion is that you first do a little research into the types of articles are successful at HubPages. The best place to look is the network site, Pethelpful: https://pethelpful.com/ See how they are each focussed on a single aspect of the animal world? And most of them are over 1,000 words.

Also, the Learning Center has lots of tips: https://hubpageshelp.com/

By the way, you taught me something: I never knew I was a cynophilist. We have six big_smile

      Hi there,

I would add at least twice as much content. If you can triplicate, that’s even better. So how do you do that? You already have some good categories, but you combined several possible categories under the heading, “Wildlife: An Inspiration!” I recommend breaking them into several new categories. Here are some suggestions: “Animals are great teachers.” “Pets have health benefits,” “Animals alleviate loneliness.” “Animals give aesthetic pleasure,” etc.

Remember to follow APA capitalization guidelines for subtitles. If you cite health benefits from pets, it would be wise to include references to reputable sites, such as the Mayo clinic, at the end of your article.

This sentence is curious: “Guard dogs ward our abodes and shield us. We are reliant upon these living beings for nutriment and they serve as a luscious feast for us.” Perhaps you need a category just on guard dogs, because it currently sounds like guard dogs make a luscious feast.

Also, the image with the mourning dove should be removed, as it has a watermark. Here is an attribution-free image from Pixabay:

I’m sure you can find tons more.
