I know that the CPM can go up and down, and it has been fairly good recently. However I've just noticed that the other day that it surged to almost 10x the normal average.
Why would this be? And is there anything I can do to encourage it to happen again?
Someone probably clicked on a very expensive ad. They are rare.
If you want higher CPMs on a regular basis, you should write more articles in subject categories that advertisers value a lot.
For example, travel articles usually do much better than book reviews.
Ah, I see, thank you. I have just started planning out two or three more articles, so I'll prioritise the travel ones.

Hi there, again more questions about the CPM and views trending. I just noticed that the increase of views, and even engagements seems to result in lower CPM. When I checked my daily earning for the month of August, I noticed that I got $18 CPM; and $0.18 Dollars for 31 days. Now, what I am seeing on my ad program summary is $0.88 CPM, and $0.07 Dollars. Please, how is this earning being calculated? Is it not per day earning?

Where can I find out what sites give you more buck for your bang? It's a touchy subject but I would really like to know. A majority of my articles are on Turbofuture, Discover, and Toughnickel. It is obvious that I need to get the 15% on the network sites. I think it is safe to say that Turbofuture...
