Where can I find out what sites give you more buck for your bang?
It's a touchy subject but I would really like to know. A majority of my articles are on Turbofuture, Discover, and Toughnickel. It is obvious that I need to get the 15% on the network sites. I think it is safe to say that Turbofuture and Toughnickel dictate my CPM.
https://turbofuture 63.4%
https://discover.hu 15.5%
https://toughnickel 16.8%
https://hobbylark.c 0.6%
https://soapboxie.c 0.6%
https://letterpile. 0.6%
https://wehavekids. 1.2%
https://spinditty.c 0.6%
https://owlcation.c 0.6%
Has anyone completed an analysis for this recently? I have attached my average monthly and overall average CPM for 2023 - Not my earnings.
I already know it differs by person, but if I could make a little more by distributing my articles to the right sites...... It would be worth diversifying. This post might even bring more writers to my normal sites which I welcome.
Josh, Eugene outlines it pretty well, which leads us back to writing worthwhile content.
Yep, do well and your next-day earnings will be better.
There aren't any figures quoted by Hubpages, but I think the niche sites for fashion and medical content or beauty show ads that produce the greatest revenue. However not all ads on a site would necessarily relate to the content on the site and would be tailored to what a reader has searched for previously. So maybe CPM depends more on the interests of your readers rather than the sites. I think the quoted CPM is the average for the previous day, so if you get a lot of traffic to articles on sites with low value ads, mixed with high revenue from other sites, that dilutes the overall CPM.
That is an interesting take eugbug. I didn't think about the ads changing by someone's web activity. I know that geographically the change in what ads can run in what areas will play a big part.
CPM depends on keywords. For sure, I agree that some niches may have more potential than others but I don't see analyzing niches as a great way of framing the issue.
You can find high and low-value keywords in all the niches and even the low value aren't necessarily bad if you can get a lot of views.
I agree it's definitely a high-level approach to ask a question. I think if I compile enough data this would be an interesting study to gather some insights. I don't mind going down a rabbit hole.
Some questions are better than others and I just don't think it's a constructive use of time. But it's your decision.
Sites like Google Adwords and SEMRush have all the info needed, in my humble opinion.

Can an admin look into my adsense account and connection. It appears that the industry standard is a little outdated looking but it would still be nice to have bold text with a yellow highlight to warn readers that there is a spoiler in the article.

I took my 30-days page views count; divided it by 30 and further divided it by the number of published hubs. Thus I got a fair representation of my average number of visitors per day per hub. It comes to a whopping 1.6! How about yours?
