Ads in the Middle of Text Capsules

I just saw a few of my articles on Owlcation on the new platform. I have noticed ads showing up between text capsules before. However, this is the first time I have seen ads appear right in the middle of a text capsule.

One of my hubs included a bullet list, and I have text above saying like "...these include:"

And, between the colon promising a list of things and the list itself, BLAM. Big old ad the reader has to scroll past to get to the list.

I understand the ads are nescessary, but is it at all possible to be a little more subtle and considerate of our readers with their placement?

Ads should not show up in the middle of text capsules.

I hope this is an aberration. It it's not, it's a major problem.

This needs looking at. And fast. But at least you can see the ads!! Still not seeing them here in the UK. The whole of Europe?

Please send an example with a screenshot and a link to team@hubpages.com and we will take a look.

All the articles I've check on Owlcation suffer from this liberal sprinkling of ads in the middle of text capsules. It makes the layout look horrible and must be a huge turn-off for readers.

I agree, just noticed that myself. The ad in the middle of text is distracting and takes away from the article. However, I have seen some pretty messy ads on news sites. Maybe it's the new thing.

I've noticed this as well. It makes it really hard to read the articles. I also found a few ads in the Q&A section in the middle of my answers. I do not know if the Q&A is sticking around as is or not, but it's concerning to have ads there as well. This is assuming people even make it that far down the page and do not get turned off from all the obnoxious ads before then.

What is also annoying is the same ad appearing two or three  times throughout the same article. I am sure if readers don’t click it the first time they won’t be tempted the second or third, if in fact they are still reading by then.

I'm wondering if they are still working on the ads? There still seem to be some issues with them. At least on my end I'm not always seeing them and I'm in the US.

I don't remember it being like that when they first migrated, but I'm definitely seeing it now. I thought the ads where suppose to be user specific, is that not the case anymore? The ones I saw on Dengarden seemed pretty article specific (at least for that article), and would not have been suggested to me otherwise as I have never searched for that kind of content before.

Ads are typically user and content specific, but not always. Very often I find ads that are totally irrelevant to me. But then again, I do not allow cookies, that could be it.
